Yes I to am a alumni of that Yale bowl game but in my case i judged that my ROI was more better spent on traveling & my family. Shea stadium alum as well never saw them in the PGs however.

Cman and the rest of you--------> I NEVER thought I would say this but I am more in Champs corner than I am with you other guys. The Jets have made front office moves ( better late than never in this case )and these fellas appear to be good football people on the surface hell anything would be an improvement over Mack but it remains to be seen how all these moves pan out and I am a firm believer that Gase is more likely to be coal rather than a diamond this guy showed me squat in Miami. I do not look forward or countdown the days to football as I once did nor hope for the best as I am now in " SHOW ME MODE ". Keep waving that flag Champ as Jimmy Hoffa once said " every fuckin' body else in the world says I'm wrong, I gotta be right."

 

I can’t tell if this argument is about optimism vs pessimism or about the preseason mattering.

If it’s the former, people are entitled to their own opinions, especially ones that have been around a while and seen a lot of letdowns. I don’t blame any Jets fan for being skeptical.

If it’s the latter, I’m not sure how anyone can put any value whatsoever in the exhibition games. They mean absolutely nothing and there are virtually no conclusions you can draw off of them. Just ask the famously 0-16 Lions, who went 4-0 in August. Basing your expectations for the season on the preseason is pretty misguided.
