I can see the Pats losing 2 out of their last 4.

We played bad last night, that's it, get over it. The Pats are not some unbelievable force that can not be contained.

No matter what happens we'll be in the playoffs and we'll be in the AFC championship game again. I can only hope it's against the Pats.

Don't really care if the Jets win the division or not. They will run the table as a wildcard

Yeah, people are not making much sense playoffs wise. They keep acting like the Jets are so terrible all of a sudden and will miss the playoffs. Thats actually going to be pretty difficult for even the Jets to pull off.

    Wild Card Standings:
    5. New York Jets 9-3
    6. Baltimore Ravens 8-4
    _____________________________
    7. Oakland 6-6
    8. San Diego 6-6
    9. Indianapolis 6-6
    10. Miami 6-6

I seriously feel its unrealistic or foolish to give up on the division when you are down 1 game with 4 games left.

It was NO DOUBT a tough loss last night, but still a lot more football to play.

I know Patriots just shalacked us but I can still see them losing to Chicago and evening up our records. Chicago is pretty hot right now and with a sick pass rusher in Julius Peppers Brady will not be anywhere near as comfortable as he was last night. Not to mention Pats have 1 less day to prepare. Not saying the Bears will win but it wont be surprising if Jets and Pats are 10-3 by the end of the week.

Realistic, we would need a miracle to happen for us to win the division.. I just hope we can go 3-1, or 2-2 down this stretch. I really don't see the Pats losing any of the final games, I mean we can pray and hope, but its unlikely.

Thanks. Fooling around with that for a couple minutes confirms my thoughts earlier in the thread.

If the Jets win out, the Patriots HAVE TO lose to Buffalo or Miami for the Jets to win the division. Of course if New England loses to Chicago and Green Bay that would work too, but unlikely.

Basically, if the Jets keep winning, the division can come down to the final two weeks.................

HA, good lord. So now the Pats losing a game is a miracle?

Bills played them hard, and Miami was embarrassed by them. Either team can beat them, WE PLAYED A BAD GAME LAST NIGHT, IT HAPPENS!!

    Haha very true.

And last night was a perfect storm of problems. Leonhard out with little time to adjust, bad game plan, play bad, Patriots good game plan, played good, game in New England. Thats about it.

Shouldn't be a problem, Jets will probably go 3-1, 2-2 at worst. Everybody has something to prove now (except Folk who already proved he should be a janitor)

The Bears seem to figure out offenses.

    My money is on them

I've never been a Cutler hater, so I think he can get it done.

I respect you for remaining confident in your team, the rest of the Jets' fanbase seems to be in panic mode.

But guaranteeing that the Jets will be in the AFCC seems a bit bold. Honestly I think it is a bit of a stretch to consider yourselves the second best team in the AFC right now. You would need to prove to me that you can beat a team of the caliber of NE/Baltimore/Pittsburgh with the team you have. I think that critics right now even have reason to make the argument "who is better NYJ/KC?" as they have similar records and KC has a 3-game win streak and overall played better against shitty teams.

Jets would need NE to lose one of the division games and then tie in wins. Otherwise, I don't think they could possibly win the division.

Bills are scary right now. They got nothing to lose, and they let it fly. I could see a high scoring affair. They don't care who they are playing right now, it looks like backyard football (good and bad).

You would have told us it was a bit bold to think about the AFCCG last year too. All this team really needs is one more win to be in the playoffs so there isn't much point in discussing the possibility that they won't make it.

Hopefully the Pats don't take a beating at home early in the post season again because I would really like the Jets to get a chance at redemption in a few weeks.

By the divisional round of the playoffs the AFC will be left with 4 teams, chances are they will be the Jets, Patriots, Ravens and Steelers. They will all get another chance to beat up on each other in the playoffs.

This loss looks bad now but is only a disaster if the Jets can't recover from it. They needed a wake up call, we will find out starting next week what this team is made of. Yes we still have a shot at the division and still have a shot at the bye, if that doesnt happen we will have another shot in the playoffs. The AFC is far from decided.
