Tim fucking Tebow Christ outplayed Sanchez when it counted. Seriously. He's nothing better than a college FB QB, but he outplayed Sanchez when it counted. NDmick, who I respect HIGHLY, please tell me why I should still believe. Seriously.

I can get why they stick with Mark. Let's face it, we spent good money on him AND a high draft pick. What I don't get is the allegiance we have with guys like Mulligan and Smith. These dudes absolutely suck and don't even show glimmers of hope.

This is a game that once again should not of came down to the final drive but with this piece of crap of a QB, every damn game is a nail biter and closer than it should of been. 3 pick 6s SO FAR this year and ever one of them are his fault. This team has very many holes but a good QB can cover up most of those holes and with Sanchez, he is ever defenses dream to face. He constantly misfires on wide open receivers, gets happy feet and throws the ball away too soon when he does get time, and just flat out can't sustain any drives. You put any pressure on him and he folds. Time to start looking for another QB......

still one of the most promising young quarterback in the league. Just get Mark to the playoffs and he will take you the rest of the way.

Mark's always been a playoff performer. And that's where rings are won

for the last time, hes a YOUNG QB. He started off ROOKIE, then you had last year where he was still handcuffed, and now you have this year where the Oline isnt giving him a shot or confidence.

You have seen at times he can be really good if given protection. With the oline we have, Tom Brady, Manning, etc wouldnt do much better.

The Oline is part of the problem this year, yes, but Sanchez makes dumb decisions when he has time, and hasn't been pressured. You don't know what you are getting with him. Hell at least with Tebow he is connsistent and you know what you can and cannot do. With Sanchez, one game he can play lights out, then the next he has a career low.

He is way too inconsistent to play as a starter in this league. He doesn't make smart decisions, and I don't see that getting any better. Not even with a different OC. Some things cannot be taught.

And I'm tired of him looking like he got scolded and embarrassed in front of the fans every time he makes a mistake. It's almost like a deer in the headlights look. He needs to learn to shrug it off, learn from it, and move on. He dwells on it forever, and I say he was still dwelling on the Pats game.

Do we extend Sanchez next year or play the season out with him, I'm about ready to flat out release his ass next offseason

I wont go that far, but Greene is a disappointment, LT is up there and our receivers are average. I don't see all this talent people keep saying we have on offense. People need to take off the homer glasses and see the truth. We don't throw deep because we have no deep threat. We dont run well cuz our line sucks and our backs aren't great. Everyone wants to blame Sanchez, but how many dropped passes, wrong routes, tipped ints have there been. I know Sanchez makes his share of mistakes, but come on. Do we really have an offense like the Packers or anything close?

Mostly this. The "Cut Sanchez Now" posts are getting more laughable. Don't get me wrong, he had a shit game today. That pick was a missed read, like most of his other picks this season. He's still having trouble throwing bubble screens, although he had a great completion on one so at least he's improving somewhat.

The OLine had a shit game today, too. Hard to have success on offense when your left tackle is getting driven back on every other pass. Brick's year has been down which is bad fucking news for any chance to make the playoffs. 11-5 can still make it, but Brick needs to square his shit away TONIGHT in order to see that.

Hunter and Mulligan: no jobs in the NFL after this season. I want those two out of the league. I can't lay every problem with the offense on them as multiple other players have fucked up during this season. But those two have been far from a help. I think it's time to see how Josh Baker can handle a chip block.

Speaking of TE blocking: It's time for the standard Schottenheimer complaint hour. I'm not even going to go after the play-calling(aside from a parenthetical comment about calling mostly dive-plays with an off-tackle HB like McKnight); what I want to know is why in the hell is Mulligan getting matched up one-on-one with Von Miller? Was it supposed to be a chip block that the HB wasn't picking up? was it supposed to be a double-team but either he or Hunter kept missing the calls? Either way, having Mulligan back there on pass-pro was about as big a liability tonight as it was against the Patriots. The major difference here being that Elvis Dumerville was already a force in the pass-rush and Von Miller was a highly touted rookie. Schottenheimer/Callahan/Whoever the fuck kept letting that call happen didn't even have the "There was no way we could have seen this coming" excuse they might have pulled off last week. All in all fucking ridiculous.

I'm not giving up on a play-off appearance yet, but it's looking pretty fucking dim. The offense has some major issues to fix if they want to realize any chance of a post-season.

David Carr constantly got hit and ruined the clock in his head and ability to sit in the pocket. If Sanchez keeps getting knocked around, it could happen to him too.

I agree that the O-Line is horrible this season, but Sanchez makes horrible decisions...too bad Eric Ainge is a drug addict.

The fucking OL shit every time Sanchez lays an egg is getting fucking old. If a great OL could make a mediocre QB good you'd see more teams stockpiling OL picks rather than reaching for pie in the sky QB prospects. The Jets took their shot and missed, Sanchez fucking sucks.

What I don't get is why it makes any difference, all of them are not performing their job well enough to help the team. Mark just gets protection because he was a #1 pick, and is an a lot of ads. Whenever Smith screws up, or Mulligan screws up, its acceptable to call for their heads, but when Sanchez who has a much greater impact on the game screws up, he is never held accountable to the level other players on the team are. When Sanchez screws up, its because the O line can't block. When Eric Smith let's up a big pass play, it's because HE sucks, not because we have no pass rush.

Sanchez just isn't a good NFL quarterback. And the worst thing for the Jets is, deciding what do you do with him going forward. He's expensive, still young, and could possibly still improve. If we stick with him and he doesn't become better, it is unlikely that we will ever get to a Super Bowl.
