Well, I just looked at 7 of your last 8 posts, and they are all one-liners about Shade.

    Christ Almighty!

    ENOUGH ALREADY!

There is no playful banter here. There are no relevant comments. This BS has been going on for ages, but has grown SIGNIFICANTLY worse in the time we have had this baseball forum.

All the Mets fans think Shade is harmless. Of course you do, he isn't trolling the Mets threads. He trolls the Yankees threads, plain and simple.

Yes, I am exploding over this shit AGAIN. And I haven't even had a problem with Shade lately. And it isn't just him either. I've noticed RichMiano and davecrazy not to mention OJDidIt have joined in as well.

If we want to have actual conversations, then that's one thing. Hell, JoeJet and I were arguing like Hatfields and McCoys a few weeks ago. Suddenly, we're having INTELLIGENT conversations. No more mudslinging. Just good old fashioned debate. (And often lately, we don't even disagree.)

As I've said before, with the exception of a particular member of the Yankees fandom on the board, I've yet to see a Yankees fan troll the shit out of a Mets-related thread. And I do look.

So all parties need to knock off the bullshit.

If you've got something intelligent to say, it doesn't matter what team you root for. Look at devil. He's a SOX fan, and he and I get along QUITE well. Trust me, I have a lot more in the way of hard feelings for a Sox fan than I do a Mets fan. So if he and I can chat intelligently, why can't everyone else?

Even playful banter is one thing. Hell, Murrell and SundayJack do it quite well as Sox fans. It's the retarded troll postings over and over and over and over and over and over again that is pissing people off.

F'ing talk damnit. Shit Shade, I KNOW you know baseball. But instead, you stick with cheesy one liners. Why persist in lowering yourself to the same level as OJDidIt? Talk about the sport. Even if you want to say how shitty you believe the DH to be, just make it RELEVANT to the conversation.

The hijacking of threads needs to stop. It does not add anything positive to the ganggreen. A thread about Curt Schilling talking about Barry Bonds should not in any way turn into a Yankees or Mets bashing thread. That IS a form of trolling.

I agree with that. There's no need to lock them for that reason, but since they ARE being locked for that reason, shade needs to just stop.

Hell, the mets and red sox have no restrictions either. All 3 have all the money they are willing to spend. They all have their own cable networks too.

I really don't know how or why he would get mad about that.

hehe - schilling must have been reading that thread before it was closed

"Everyone has days and events in life they'd love to push the rewind button on, yesterday was one of those days," Schilling wrote on his Web site, 38pitches.com. "Regardless of my opinions, thoughts and beliefs on anything Barry Bonds it was absolutely irresponsible and wrong to say what I did. I don't think it's within anyone's right to say the things I said yesterday and affect other peoples lives in that way.

"... As someone who's made it very clear I have major issues with members of the media that take little or no pride in their work it's the height of hypocrisy for me to say what I did, in any forum," he wrote. "I started this blog to give people a look into the life we live on and off the field, not to get into back and forths with people I don't like or have issues with. Doing that will only make this a rant filled no content bunch of words."

Not really. I've grown accustomed to ignoring the trolling. But now threads are getting locked, and that's where a line has to be drawn.

Come on Shade, I'm calling on you to talk baseball. I know you love the game, and I know you are well-versed in it. Show it. You can throw your jabs, but include things that progress the conversation at the same time.

Hell, the same goes for all of the guys who are posting in this forum. The hardcore baseball fans on TGG are all hanging out in here most of the day and night now. Let's talk about the sport. Rib all you want, but discuss the topic of the thread too, that's what I'm saying.

People STILL take Shade serious? All along I thought it was just junc who would get worked up over Shade's elementary comments.

    He's just "There."

It's not his comments really, it's the fact that he's getting threads locked. If he wants to throw one liners ripping the Yankees I'm all for it, but when threads are getting locked because of it it becomes a problem.

Look Shade just likes to joke around, simple as that.

The personal attacks and making of a thread on him is unnecessary.

Send him a PM or a Mod...

This is pretty sophomoric, but whatever.

how about we ban all the thinn-skinned whiners who can take a little ribbing....

if you can't engage in a little witty banter, then don' t engage

but i do agree, thread locking because of this is bad
