My main beef here is the amount of "STFU you darksider" stuff I read after I, like others, pointed out that this team has collapsed down the stretch many many times - 86, 93, 94, and 2000.
And for every 'STFU Darksider' post after every win, there's a 'See I told you we suck' thread after every loss.
We can still qualify for the playoffs, and I will be cheering the Jets on every week until its over. We don't suck - we were just not an obvious SB candidate as some were suggesting. I think I'd rather have Favre in this position than Boomer E., for example. We do have a chance.
And as I warned about above, now Patriots Nation NY and the rest of the Pats* fans on the board get to have fun at our expense. Someone should bump the Hotels in Tampa thread.
I don't see why it was silly at the time. They were 8-3 and had just smoked the undefeated titans in Tennessee. They looked like SB contenders to the majority of football fans. What would make you think I am happy? I was nearly apoplectic yesterday when I saw that TD called back and Favre hurl that long INT. I'm pissed that we are looking like we are going to miss the playoffs. I expected when I wrote the first post in this thread that we would at least get in to the playoffs, but I thought all the "book your reservations for the Subway SB in Tampa" stuff was silly and premature. Now even getting into the postseason seems doubtful. You think I am happy about that? Yeah I can take the smack talk, but I think it is stupid to invite it by talking about the SB when we haven't been there since 1969. Make sense now?
