Breaking the bank for Nnamdi is worth it if he truly wants to take less. I cant emphasize how important it is to JUMP on an opportunity like this. Please sign this !!!!!

Like having or not having Aso would change that fact. It's a huge sign if it happens and anyone saying other than it can cause money issues, is jealous and scared

Goddammit I'm getting excited about Nnamdi coming here.

I wanna keep a cool head about this. But holy shit.

Fuck it. If Nnamdi comes here, trade for a good pass rusher. 2nd rounder for a guy who brings the pressure on a consistent basis. Put this defense in 2000 Ravens territory.

whats hilarious is outside the hashes will be shut down and then you put 3 guys in coverage over the middle, that still leaves Rex 6 guys to send at the QB every single play. Rex might blitz 9 a handful of times this year if we get Aso...

Yeah the Jets really weren't able to come up with a plan for them in the playoffs... when the Jets shut down the Pats.. I guess they forgot about that?

I can see him selling out on 3rd and long and rushing 7 or 8 like he did in 09.

The one thing I missed last season was seeing 3rd and 7+ and just knowing the ball was returning to the offense. That has to return this season.

If we somehow squeeze Nnamdi in here, I would be willing to trade next years #2 and Calvin Pace for a top notch pass rusher....

    Agree.

If the Jets are going to make the defense ridiculous, then go ahead and fucking make it retardedly ridiculous.

You guys saying trade Pace for a pass rusher are delusional, who wants Pace?

Ugly hold out on the way between the Niners and Frank Gore AKA their offense.

No chance of winning there, Nnamdi. Come to the Promised Land...

Cutting Bryan Thomas and replacing him with Antwan Barnes will be another step in the right direction.

If Aso signs with the Jets, good free agents will take less to play with this team - as much as I hate the Miami Heat comparison, it will be very similar. Players will come here for less because this team will be capable of doing big things.

With his contract, I think they would rather have the #2 than #2 and Pace.

absolutely. We might as well make OC's throw in the towel now and just say fuck it. Not to get ahead, but I'm gonna do it anyways... Tamba Hali for our 2012 #2 and Calvin Pace. Might as well fuck up everybody in the league that way.

Gonna be an exciting next few hours regardless...

So heres another question? whats going on with L.T? hes going to make 3.4 Million? I could see us cutting him or asking him to restructure.

true... but we can't afford a big time pass rushers contract without removing some cap room, AKA Pace.

Figured if we steal a pass rusher, might as well give one back and a high pick. make it work.

In reality it won't happen. But god damn wouldnt it be fucking fun to see?

I think it would be a restructure. Or a straight up cut and resign. I think we won't even bother LT with it, but I really feel he is on this team for next year.
