I'm a die hard Charger fan, and I read an article about how the Chargers are going to blow the jets apart and he makes alot of points to suggest this is the case. (Obviously the article is ridiculously biased) If I was a Jets fan, I sure as hell would dissect it all and give reasons why its completely stupid (as you have done), but since I am a Charger fan, I read it and it makes me feel better about the game. On another thread somewhere, one of your guys wrote a series of lovely, incredibly biased points, claiming the game could well be a blowout for the Jets, and people on here were taking it all in, some people even defended it when another Jet fan pointed out how ridiculous it was. Yes, it was ridiculous, but to most people here, the writer was simply making good points. I think thats fair enough, if it makes fans feel better about their chance of winning, whats the problem. Not like its gonna affect anything come gameday.
Automatic wins? The Steelers, Eagles, Broncos, and Bengals beg to differ. And all those teams finished with records of 8-8 and above. Anyway, I believe you played similaly bad teams, and lost in some cases.

Ok....he actually makes a few good points (the one about the Patriots and a dig at Revis Island is the biggest joke) Heres what he fails to mention. I could care less what we did the first 3 games..and I could care less what we did in the middle of the season. I could even care less what happened in the Colt game. By pulling their starters, the Colts allowed a team to believe...very dangerous..especially in the NFL. So if I were a writer, I would look at what the Jets have done since. They mentally and physically destroyed a Bengal team. The Bengals..with all of their nonsense about not trying in the first matchup...had Carson Palmer in the game when it was 30-0. After half time, the chick that interviews the coaches said the following "Lewis plans on keeping Palmer at least for a couple series to see if they can muster up a drive" Why did he do this? He saw the handwriting on the wall. His team, he knew, would take another physcial beating the following week..and only a home game would keep it interesting for awhile. A team could become a serious threat when pieces fall into place...and thats what happened to the Jets. Could they get blown out? Sure they can. As good as this defense has been..it has shown a tendency to spring a leak in some aspect of the game. The only problem is that I like to go by trends. Regardless of the opponent, the Jets have shown the ability to beat the living crap out of you on both sides of the ball. If the Jets can stick around for the 1st quarter..we have a game..and we might have a victory. We will know very early on if this "trend" is real.
guys a joke he uses selective information some of it incorrect like the amount of points the pats and colts put on us in a game and a half. Colts had 9 points in first half and payton did play the second and scored on us then. My favorite part is the Chris Henry less Carson palmer. In the Colts game, the Jets held Manning to 10/17 with 131 yards and no scores in the 1st half. The Jets held Brees to 190 yards and no TDs and they were only up by 1 score until halfway through the 4th quarter. You could say they were focusing on winning the TOP battle, but they only had the ball for 33 minutes despite forcing 4 turnovers. Tom Brady was 23/47 with 216 yards and a pick w/ no scores. You could say he was rusty if he hadn't put up 25 or more points in weeks 1, 3, and 4. I don't think Chargers fans understand what the Jets defense does to a QB. The top WR is almost completely taken away by Revis and the Jets bring lots of pressure. It changes the progressions and the reads because they find their best receiver in single coverage, but can't get him the ball. Then he has to rush his decision with the pass rush coming at him. There's a reason the defense has put up the numbers it has. I don't think it can compete with some of the great all time defenses, but when you combine it with the ball control offense the Jets have, it's going to make it really hard on any offense it goes against.

1. I think people in Southern California are now impressed with this team! I also like that he stated that the Charger's O is better then the Colts, I hope that is true. 2. He was right, we didn't score any points in the first half, but boy did their D wear down as the game wore on! 3. I think the Jets showed that their D is for real! I would also like to point out that the charger's winning streak came against the likes of KC twice, Oakland, Browns and Washington who they creamed using their backups!
