i actually agree with u on the most part, especially the Gallery part, in no way shape or form is dbrick like him...however u say he has been good the first 2 games and i think i disagree, i was at the pats game and i haven't watched it on tv so u might have been able to get a better look, but what was the "signiture play" of last week? chad pennington getting laid the fuck out by new englands line, that was pretty much the whole olines fault, but who caused the injury? jarvis green, dbrick's man. just because everyone jumps off a bridge doesn't mean u shud too, and just because ur 4 teammates are letting ur leader get manhandled, doesn't mean u should too, fact of the matter is that we are 2 games into the season, we have allowed 9 sacks and just to say ANYONE on our line has been good is a little perplexing to me, i also don't think it is nesassary for u to rip me or anyone else who doesn't share your opinion, we are talkin football, not politicts hahahah.....GO JETS
i will admit i have not seen any marcus mcneil this season, i am basing his play on last season, i apologize for that
the thing is, most rookies/second-year guys suck at times. Peyton Manning sucked at times when he first came in the league; Reggie Bush has sucked at times. i mean, what do people really expect? look, Brick can definitely improve and gain weight, etc. there are games where he plays very well, and other games where he gets beat. guess what? it's gonna happen. c'mon, he won't play flawlessly every week for his first 18 games. that's just a ridiculous expectation.
thats not the expectation i nor most had for him, the thing is i would like to see more consistency out of him
Oh no!! He hasn't been dominated by Taylor today, how are you gonna hate on him this week???!!! Following the logic of all these anti-Brick threads, he must be the best in the league because he is having a good game today....but that's OK, if he does poorly against the Bills next Sunday he'll be a bust again, right?
maybe taylor had the foresight that brick would have a good game today and looking to make brick sound better... brick has been solid today. where was this guy during the first 2 weeks?
Living in VA as I do I saw D'Brick a lot while he was at UVA. I may be preaching to the choir but the speed of the NFL vs. college is mind-blowing. I believe he's done a decent job considering this is only his second year and will continue to improve. Now if Woody would open up his pockets for some decent D ...
first off u are a moron bc this isn't an anti brick thread, i said i wanted to see some consistency, today he played pretty damn good, lets see how he does next week, and the week after ect...i am pretty sure most of u are taking what i said out of context, so let me clear myself up before there is anymore confusion- last year d'brick was inconsistent, i quoted jason taylor bc some people, myself included, expected more out of a #4 overall pick, taylor;s quote gave me some hope bc he is one of the best pass rushers in league history, thats all, i am not anti brick in the least bit so please stop acting like all im saying is that he sucks, bc that is not the case...anyways we won today, we are 1-2 and we can be 3-2 if u we continue to play solid and shore up our d, and truth be told if we make the playoffs i dont care if dbrick lets up 10 sacks a game
You're right, there are some players/people that don't put on weight, and if D'Brick is one of those people then we are in trouble, considering the massive amounts of calories NFL players burn, particularly ones who are coached by guys like Mangini who demand a higher level of physical fitness than some of our *ahem* previous HCs. On the other side of the argument is the common tendency of the human male metabolism to slow down considerably right around the age he is now, maybe a little later. Time will tell, but until then they better figure out ways to coach him effectively at a lighter weight.
Your original post says he sucks, and you clearly don't know how his job works or what reasonable expectation of a player in his position should be. He looked good today, so you've changed your tone, but as soon as the guy gets beat or makes a mistake you'll be shitting all over him again.
no i said he sucked at times, and my tone has never been anti d'brick, long before this game has started
D brick looked very good today. He kept Taylor in check with little to no help from what I saw and there could not be a better sign he's comming into his own. Now he just needs to keep getting better each week like he has so far this season.
