Keep in mind though that a good running game also sets up the play action, which has always been a strength of this team in years past. Dropping from 4th in rushing to 22nd obviously had a huge effect on the passing game and the O as a whole.

Still, I agree the WRs were definitely a huge step down from last year.

and Edwards is such a great teamate and leader that the 9ers kept him around for the playoffs after paying his season salary.

    Oh wait!.....

Yeah, but he wasn't complaining about his production..he got his 1200 yards in his last year there..they dumped him because they knew he would be getting suspended.

The guy was injured, wiseguy. When he played hurt, he didn't help the team.

BTW, Vernon Davis thought he was a great teammate and leader.

    Stop hating...

So where is that LOYALTY now? After getting PAID, he's not the Team Player who wants to be with the JETS anymore, is he?

Plus, he hasn't exactly gotten along with Mark Sanchez either.

    The Truth hurts, doesn't it?

And I'm just saying that despite all that, I'D STILL TAKE BRAYLON OVER HOLMES 'CAUSE I COULDN'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT HE DID OFF THE FIELD SO LONG AS HE PLAYED FOOTBALL FOR MY TEAM ON THE FIELD.

He would bust his ass on the field when he was here and the contrast without him this year as opposed to last year with him clearly shows how much this offense lacked his presence.

I couldn't care less that he wasn't exactly ghandi off the field. So long as you do not act like an immature prick like Holmes did, it's all good.

You were dead right, and I backed you.

Edwards was our best deep-threat in years. He had a ton of clutch catches against Houston, Cleveland, Detroit, and NE&Indy/Playoffs.
