after the bye week in which year? This guy does not want to suffer an injury and blunt his perceived worth on the soon-to-be open market. He is not a team player and this nonsense of in the lineup out of the lineup hurts the development of any QB. There is simply no time to get on the same page with our alleged #1 receiver.
I can't wait for the day that the Jets's cut ties with this guy. He has been nothing but a cancer to this team. The Steeler's were smart, they recognized it, and got rid of him quick. Cut this loudmouth, candy-ass bitch.
He is just working toward getting cut. Doesn't care anymore. Can't get a big contract playing on this offense. I'd rather give a young guy who is hungry that wants to play a chance, then watch him anymore. Only 5 more games.
He is a prick... With that being said he needs to play... Hill hasn't caught a ball in 3 games and no Kerley... Don't really want to see Salas and co anymore than I have to.
It's hard for me to despise former Ohio State players, but Holmes is easily the biggest piece of shit out of the few bad apples OSU has produced. Fuck this guy, can't wait till he's off this team.
I'm serious. Outside of the blowup at the end of the Dolphins game in '11, I haven't seen anything that suggested that he was a "cancer".
You said, "I don't understand the Holmes hate". Plain and simple, Holmes has underachieved here. Spin it anyway you want, the guy has been nothing but a collector of cash. 5 more games to prove anything. If I'm a betting man I put it all on Holmes folding the rest of the season. His character has shown nothing of value. Nice knowing you home boy, you won't be missed.
I mentioned the '11 Miami game because folks used that as a reason for their hatred towards him. I'm saying besides that incident I haven't seen him do anything that qualifies as "cancerous". So basically what you're saying is that him underachieving is the main reason for the hate? Honestly this season is his first real underachieving year. Last year he was playing well until he hurt his foot. The year before he put up his usual numbers, and the year before he was solid.
This POS should be arrested for ripping off the Jets with ZERO production. my grandma can play better than this guy and my grandma is DEAD
Injuries are part of the game. I get that. My gripe with Holmes is how he comes across and the vibe he gives. If you watch his interviews he seems real nonchalant like "oh fuck it, I'm injured, oh well, I got paid so who cares" that I don't give a damn attitude is such a drainer for a team. I don't think its a coincidence that he was a perfect team guy, heathy and reliable during his contract year in 2010.
The guy is laughing on the bench while the Jets are getting their asses handed to them, completely unprofessional and lame. He really needed to miss six weeks at the beginning of the season. He is not a gamer, a talented receiver when he wants to be but, a disruptive, prima donna douchebag most of the time.
