Other teammates did, too, especially the most respected player in the locker room, future Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson, who unloaded on Holmes. He basically said that Holmes -- a captain, for crying out loud -- shut it down, mentally.

If the U.S. Army had captains like Holmes, we'’d all be speaking Japanese.

"Let me just say there were some guys in the huddle that were unhappy with Tone’'s demeanor," Tomlinson said. "When you have a group of guys fighting their butts off and one guy, for whatever reason, their demeanors not with them, you’'re going to get some guys to say something to him and tell him how they feel. That’'s what you got today."

    Tomlinson wasn’'t finished.

"It'’s tough for guys to follow a captain that kind of behaves in that manner," he said. "The worst thing that can happen is when teammates start to question your passion. In that huddle, that’'s what you saw. Guys looked at his eyes and he didn’'t have fire in his eyes. Guys were turned off by that. … It was definitely boiling at that point. Guys had had enough."

    I must be crazy

I remember that. I wish Keller would have smacked him in the head instead of giving him a high five.

While it's probably doubtful, maybe, just maybe Holmes see's that Kerley can play and Hill as well - and comes back demanding the ball a little bit less.

While I don't think the word 'humbled' is in his vocabulary, one can hope.

Only way he'll be humbled is if we win games - and were not doing that so far

I was upset when he got hurt because he was making some plays for us but seeing Kerley and Hill more is great for this team. Kerley looks like a legit player for us, Hill has the dropsies but has been getting open.

    Link or it didn't happen.

Like I said, that was pretty much the only incident in the last game of last season.

Lol I made that up... Just say sorry I have man love and can't control myself. Bottom line is, I don't hate holmes. I. Like when he decides to do play and has done thing. He can be a fabtastic player.. No doubt. But he's a complete jerkoff. All I did was good santonio holmes asshole and articles just popped up. Lol. But yea you continue to think I'm fake quoting people that know him. I don't care that much.... I just found you humerious. If the jets don't release him next year, I hope he in full savage mode and scored 20 tds. Him being an asshole in life means nothing to me. I care as much about him as any jets care about me. Lol tell him I said hi on your next fan letter

Now you're just plain lying about your previous posts. Perhaps you don't remember them. Here's what you said:

Holmes is a huge problem. Why steelers let him go.. He has all the talent but is a cancer.

The only quotes you have made have been regarding his tenure with the Jets. You have posted NO PROOF WHATSOEVER to support your contention that Holmes was gotten rid of by Pitt because he was a locker room cancer.

You should just man up, be stand up, and admit you overstated your position. Instead you flat out lie about not having made up your previous statement.

Now for someone who wants to call Holmes all sorts of names, it occurs to me I have some names i could apply to liars, and how I feel about them. But there are forum rules here.

Btw on another post you refer to Moore complaining about Holmes. That was after Holmes said the OL needed to step up. That was before the Jets won three straight last year. It was also before Moore and Holmes publicly made up about it.

Your posts need more than the average amount of fact checking, to be sure.

I have been consistent about Holmes. I don't think what I think of his personality, pro or con, has much if anything to do with whether he's a plus or minus for the team. That's for starters.

I also think he's the most talented player by far of any skill position player on O.

And it is complete nonsense to say the O looks better without him. Complete nonsense.

That about covers it, but a further denial of the truth by you without any support, support you have failed to provide despite several opportunities to do so here, will not be answered by me, as you have already shown yourself, more likely than not, to be a waste of time here. This post is more for the benefit of others, obviously, but they too should see it is time to move on to more fruitful discussions.

I don't really understand your bizzare delusions eithor... What more proof do u want? Now after saying there qwas no evidence of this.. You know claim to have explanations and make it justifiable. Lol all good... Yes you have priven that you have some wierd desire to show holmes as not being a jerkoff... You are right if u can always make excuses for why he does dopey things.. You are also correct that on paper or in madden the jets are better with holmes. In real life we have to work with people.. Seems as if he's not easy to work with. Like I stated to the other super fan of holmes.. I don't care that much nor do I hate holmes or love sanchez. I just find it funny how you can justify some of this poor behavior. You can go back to staring at a picture of holmes and praying the jets don't cut him next year. If they don't I will keep my fingers crossed that more than 8 games he decide to play hard. If he does we should win some of those. Lol

Numbers don't lie guys, Sanchez is playing better without Holmes. The offense in general looks so much better when Sanchez doesn't have to force the ball to this diva. IMO the numbers at the end of the season will show that the Jets don't need nor do they want Holmes back.

Tanny needs to play it real cool during the offseason in acting like they want Holmes back and continuing to show that he believes Holmes still has value. Then make a deal with another team for like a 6th round pick to take him away.

If we do get rid of Holmes, what do we do next? Sign a WR? Give Schilens a chance? Draft another in the 2nd or 3rd?
