    The numbers don't lie. 400 carries has been the kiss of death within a season or two for every runningback who has reached it. And obviously they were all on top of the league at the point they reached it.

    If Larry Johnson has the durability that Curtis showed in his career, then god bless him, because that type of physical gift is so rare as to be scarce. The odds are against him.

    An excellent point - using Martin as the template for use of a running back is very foolhardy, as he was extraordinarily durable.

    I'm not saying that LJ is going to have a long, prosperous career like C-Mart had. I'm saying that he's going to be good for another season, contrary to popular belief (at least in this thread).

    Another thing that I read in the Newspapers about Herm (can't remember where, most likely the Newark Star Ledger) was that he only (on Average) won 1 out of 3 games against teams that finished the season with winning records. If this is true, then there is no chance to advance deep into the play-offs with him at the helm. As I said before, the Chiefs are screwed royally and they still haven't realized it yet.
