i could give a damn what he says. all i know is from reading quotes the players LOVE what he says. the players buy into it, so i do too. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-combine/09000d5d81e75e80/Rex-Ryan-makes-another-guarantee
Who gives a flying fuck what he says. For fuck sake he isn't going to the white house and taking a dump in the Oval office. It's a fucking sport. I love the fact that people are so fucking uptight about sports you can stick a lump coal up their ass and get a diamond inside a week. This is better than having a coach that fist pumps field goals.
You mean to tell me fans of this team are going to support this team and knock the other teams? Thanks for reminding me how sports works, I almost forgot. If keeping your mouth shut and minding your own business was the surefire way to success than championship coach Eric Mangini would still be here and we wouldn't have any care what Rex Ryan had to say.
As soon as I saw the title "Here we go again" - my first thought was "Revis is holding out for a new contract again."
The last time the Jets won a SB Namath called it. He guaranteed it. Sure it can get a little old with Rex running off at the mouth but, I don't think that will ever change. We might as well all embrace the fact that he likes to flap his lips. Then when the Jets get that SB win we can all say "Told you motherfuckers they would get it done" or "What you wanna say about our coach now bitches". He is what he is like it or not he is going to be Rex. He has the balls to say what every coach in the nfl wants to but, they are to scared to step out on that ledge. Just as McCarthy wanted to say from day one that GB was going to win the SB but he was worried what everyone would say about him.
I gotta be honest, I worry that Rex isn't physically or emotionally set up to pilot the Jets for the long haul.
My coach has a fucking pair and isn't afraid to show it and doesn't care what you or I think because honestly, its doesn't fucking matter. Good for him. Guarantee it every year. I love that fact that being a pussy isn't a part of the Jets culture anymore.
Did any of you Cunts watch the press conference or listen to his interview today? And you're going to tell me you're tired of this. Jeez, then go back to Mangini.
How do we go back to Mangini? Can us fans fire the head coach and hire a new one? Maybe ukilledkenny can tell us how to accomplish this. Mangini was a piece of shit. I wanted him fired during the 2007 season due to inept coaching. Who was with me on that here? Br4dw4y5ux. I don't remember anybody else. There were other people very concerned, but they wanted Mangini to get at least a third year. Anyway, the point is I might be the last person on this board (especially since Br4dw4y5ux has been missing since October) who would want to see Mangini back with the Jets. Ryan can talk and be bombastic. He can go lick Dan Marino's foot and I wouldn't care. I just would rather not hear any Super Bowl guarantees. They are worthless. Is this hard to understand, sir?
I've thought about Rex Ryan a lot after this off season and I'm beginning to become a believe in how much he is talking. I've always loved his brashness, but stopped short of supporting his Super Bowl talk. The reason is that I think he honestly believes what and will do whatever it takes to win it. Saying we're aiming for a Super Bowl in the locker room privately or saying it diplomatically in a press conference is not necessarily putting yourself on the line to win the big one. Rex Ryan wants the Super Bowl and it is known by everyone. Despite the critics, Rex Ryan is putting his reputation on the line to instill his confidence in his team. Cimini might call that "putting targets on your backs", but I think Rex is motivating his players in this way.
facepalm If it's not an issue for you, don't post anymore in this thread. note to self: Avoiding most Jets threads for the past couple weeks was a good idea. I should have ignored this one, too. Keep ignoring others till maybe the week before the draft.
The note to self thing is cute, now everyone knows your thought process. I bet everyone else appreciates it as much as I do. So this thread was made only for people who want to complain about Rex making his predictable superbowl guarantee? I must have missed that memo.
