Read what I said. McNair and McNabb didn't have that many designed run plays called for them. They were "running QBs" in that if they didn't have an open receiver or if they felt pressure, they would tuck and run instead of buying more time in the pocket and trying to throw. Same with Steve Young and Randall Cunningham.

Bobby Dougass would be the closest to what Tebow has to offer as far as running.

McNair and Mcnabb had plenty of designed runs early in their career as well as Steve young who all arguably better runners that Tebow. These Qbs learned to throw from the pocket because running Qbs get killed in the league and do not last very long. There is reason the option is not run in the NFL you do not want to get your million dollar Qb killed.

Your points are the most regurgitated basic football knowledge that any 7 year old knows. Tebow doesn't play well from the pocket at this points in his career because he has never had to. He tucked the ball down and won championships. He averages 5 and half yards a carry in the NFL is a tremendously effective power runner. Throughout his NFL career he will gradually get better from the pocket. But in the meantime, when things get hairy instead of throwing an interception like your boy Sanchez, he will tuck it down and get positive yardage. Wrap your small brain around it, digest it, accept it, or set yourself up for much angst for years to come.

This has worked so well in the NFL that you want your QB as your main rushing threat. You cant throw for 46% completion percentage and have a offense only you can play in. While averaging ten points a game. Tebow will help the Jets just not as a passer. They have a 4th round pick invested in him why would they revamp their entire offense.

I am sorry Tebow is not a good Qb going one 1-4 in his lat five games and throwing for under 50% just wont cut in the NFL.

Steve McNair did. He is the most similar running QB to Tebow. He was also built like Tebow. He was 6'2", 240, built like a tank, and a great downhill runner. He also ran between the tackles early in his career, and was even quicker than Tebow.

In his first two years as a full season starter, he gained over 1200 yards on the ground, and averaged 7 yards per carry. He was bruising and punishing when he lowered his head.

McNair's body was completely ruined by the time he was 29. He was constantly injured from taking punishment as a young quarterback running the football. He looked old and feeble, when most 29 year old quarterbacks are entering the prime of their careers.

You just keep thinking that Tebow is some indestructible monster that can run it up the gut 15 times a game. We'll see what happens...

Holy cherry picked data Batman. Hmmm, let's see what kind of fun we can have doing similar cherry picking...

Guess Eli just has to completely suck as at the end of week 13, he had gone 1-5 in his previous 6 games.

Same can be said of Phil Rivers who, as of the end of week 13, had gone 1-6 over the previous 7 games.

Or Mark Sanchez, who went 1-3 to end the season.

Or Mike Vick, who started the season off going 1-4

Or Matt Stafford who had a 2-5 stretch mid season.

Whether it was a 4th, 6th round or anything else doesn't matter, get over your draft value. The great Peyton Manning (whom the Jets wouldve dumped Sanchez in a heartbeat for) was CUT by the Colts, put on waivers. You are right the completion % won't cut it, but you mistakenly think that will not improve, many of the NFl's greatest qb's threw under 50% in their first year starting, and none of them had the impact Tebow had on his team with winning games. Tebow was a 70% passer his senior year, one of the most efficient passers in the history of the SEC. Ive been listening to the uninformed denigrate his passing for years. Although it doesn't look pretty, in crunch time, the ball is almost always where it needs to be. He will probably never throw the pretty Tom Brady spirals, but he brings other things in spades to the table that not many others have. If you can't wrap your mind around the value of the toughness and leadership he can have on a football team, all I have to say is sit back and watch this fall. I assume you are a Jets fan, so you will be very happy. Don't let your character deficiencies cause you to be jealous and root against a very special athlete. Just enjoy the ride.

Pro Tip for you cupcake. If you are going to try and use big words that are beyond your limited vocabulary, you should check www.dictionary.com for the spelling, as to not look stupid.

BTW, that QB who "sucks" had 1 more playoff victory than Sanchez did last year :)

Exactly!!!!!!! Now you get Tebow records means little he had good stretch of games but came back down to reality. If you can't use Tebow is a winner and just look at his ability as an NFL passer you will see he has any good.

umm, pointing out his record for last season or his entire career record is hardly cherry picking.

What I and many others see is a young QB who is still developing, yet manages to win.

That is right his grit and determination anf his great college record. Guess what that all means shit in the NFL where he threw for 46% and against the Pasts in the playoffs 27%. Where was his grit and toughness and leadership then? Sanchez has wins against Brady and Manning in the playoffs he is still is not a good QB at this point but he has proven more than Tebow has. He is not Journey man QB like Orton.

He just does not have the skill as an NFL passer. How many times does he have to prove it.

See that one time he made that one throw come on guys this is the NFL.

Yep, it is the NFL, and as I have demonstrated repeatedly, Tebow's passing stats through his first 15 starts compare very favorably to Sanchez's stats through his first 15, and also his second season, starts 16-31.

Tebow's stats through his first 15 games also compare favorably to Eli Manning's as well.

Guess that means that Sanchez and Eli have to suck as well, huh ??

Its funny how Tebow affects people. If Sanchez was injured for say a couple games, people like Cval and Sg3 have so much hatred for Tebow they would want him to fail and the Jets to lose.

Pretty much... I highly doubt it will happen as Sanchez will either need to bomb or get hurt, and I don't see either happening, but man this board will get interesting if Tebow actually starts for the Jets at any point.... Grab the popcorn!
