I would remind you all of where our franchise QB grew up and has played pretty much all his football....... yes, he'll undoubtedly learn to play in the depths of a Jersey winter, but when it comes to throwing for a ring, I want him in his comfort zone.
giants stadium no longer exists, jets closed it out last year with a win, while the giants umm choked the whole 2nd half of the season
I can't see any true affect of this incident playing into the chances of a SB at the New Stadium. If it does, Goodell needs to be removed. His position should not be used for his personal vendettas. Woody cried foul over the manner the "coin toss" was held in. I can't say I blame him. Its not the result that matters, as a MNF match is better than the Thursday game slot the Gints got. Its simply the principle of not having representatives from each team present for such a deciding factor. Goodell is a complete ass for doing what he did and if he decides that no SB should be held at the New Stadium because of this, it will make it even more apparent how much of an ass he really is. That said, I appreciate the elements in a football game. Love cold weather, snow and wind. The added uncertainty and unexpected outcomes, mistakes, and turnovers provide for some of the most entertaining games I have watched. Although the idea of attending a SB in some sunny 80 degree climate while gettin "goosed" and watchin' bikinis walk by is more appealing than freezin out in a parking lot huddled around a burn barrel with a flask before the big game.
I just joined. I saw some posts referring to another certain member who went by the same name after I joined. I can not claim to be him. I gather his presence was appreciated in these parts and is greatly missed. I even managed to find a youtube video link someone created in his honor. I am sorry to disappoint, and do not mean any disrespect to him by having claimed a similar screename.
No BS man. I am not the same guy. I am only 27, look a lot younger than him and have only been fishing 3 or 4 times in my entire life. The guy you speak of appears to have been fishing almost every other weekend from what I saw on the youtube link posted in another thread. I assure you it is merely coincidental.
Do you have any type of terminal illness or is someone giving you a roman helmet and blocking your vision? If not, welcome aboard-
i wouldnt say honor but it was about him. and you could hunt down the original GH, punch his kids in the face, bang his wife, and piss in his cornflakes and it wouldnt be enough disrespect for that creepshow.
The only SB i'm intertested in is the one we play in and i don't care if we play that game in the parking lot of the local Burger King!
They don't play in a dome every year. Miami, Jacksonville, San Diego, Tampa, are all outdoors. If you think you're at a disadvantage playing in good conditions, then maybe you just aren't as good as the other team.
If the article was about the loss of TJ and Rhodes costing us a shot at the SB, it would be just as poopy.
To: fenwyr All I can say to you is that you are wrong. But from what is coming out here, there seems to be a strong dislike for this former member. So because there is some suspicion that I may be the one and same that you all bid ill will, I can only back my stance of coincidence up with time, since this is the internet. Only time will tell that I am not the same man you speak of, or perhaps a pint at a pub and a good conversation about the Jets, Rangers, or Yanks, as I could care less about the other teams in the metropolitan area.
They Said It : the week of March 22 March 22, 2010 - by PFW staff ~ ~ Monday, March 22, 2010 Giants co-owner Steve Tisch, quoted in the NY Daily News regarding speculation that Jets owner Woody Johnson may have hurt the two teams' bid for the 2014 Super Bowl because of critical comments Johnson made about a coin flip to decide which team would open up the new stadium next season: "I'd like to think it's not that big a deal. I'm optimistic that based on the merits on our bid, our proposal, our presentation, that we will generate the support we need. I think it really merits a lot of consideration by the 30 other owners. I know we are going to make a very compelling, memorable presentation. I would like the other owners to vote on that next month and not a personal issue." Tisch added: "At this point, I think it's between Woody and the commissioner. I'm sure they have discussed it." > http://www.profootballweekly.com/2010/03/22/they-said-it-the-week-of-march-22
