I feel bad four Mangold. Dude has been a beast since he got into the league, and now in his final few years, he is stuck on a bad team. I almost wish the Jets would let him finish his career on a contender so he has a chance to win the SB somewhere.

Yes, especially considering the shit Guards he's had to play next to, account for, and support.

It is sickening the amount of times that I've had the same thought about our great players throughout the decades. Starts off with, "this guy can get us to the SB! " Then, "I hope we get it together enough to get this guy to the SB!" Then, "I hope this guy leaves the team to play for a team that actually has a shot at getting to the SB!"

The best I can hope for is just GETTING to a SB, I can't imagine actually winning one.

Part of the cycle of shame and disappointment that surrounds us Jets fans.

As good as Mangold has been and it's tough to notice center play, D'Brickashaw has taken a major step back and really doesn't seem to be a left tackle anymore. His forte used to be his quickness and technique but that no long seems to be enough to make up for his lack of strengtb. Hopefully the Jets are able to restructure and keep him on as a guard where I think he could really excel with those long arms.
