The week of that episode, I think I called everyone I knew a Slapdick at least once. Rex drew the line at eating McDoubles on the field during the G&W.
The Sopranos scene made me cringe. If the Jets are bad this year(Which we won't be) we will be trolled with that video for a long time
I liked the bit with Kapp too. You gotta feel for the kid. He seems like a great kid, was working his ass off, and was trying to achieve his dream, but he just isn't good enough. That was a nice touch of poignancy and reality to how hard it is to make it in the NFL.
If you guys hadn't mentioned that there was a Sopranos scene, I never would have known it. I never watched the Sopranos. I didn't have much time at all to watch TV during my 16 years in NYC.
And it was nothing original. Some of you may remember when the Jets did one with Fireman Ed making the drive - that was a fresh idea that played on the big screens at home games. Hard Knocks copying the Jets marketing department..
What's he so fucking happy about... "I told a friend this has felt like waking up inside of a dream, this whole experience. A beautiful dream. So many times you have a great dream and you wake up and you think: I just want to get back into that but I can’t quite get back into the dream. I’ve woken up inside of that dream and it’s been really, really special. There’s a lot of times — I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — where I just look around and say: This is my life now. How cool is this? "It happens in the locker room, it happens walking out and it's the fresh air and the sun setting. It’s just (thinking) what an awesome day it was because of whatever it was, a conversation I had with Mekhi, getting to see Billy Turner and catch up with him, a play that happened that really was fun that we talked about and wanted to happen … or we’re driving to the city and you hit that spot before you go in the tunnel and you’re looking across to the city going: How cool is my life now? I just try to keep that perspective every day here and it’s been easy because one thing has happened almost every single day that just reminds me I’m in the right place, I’m where I’m supposed to be and I’m really just loving what this opportunity has given me ... "Everyday I’m thinking — and I won’t say it out loud — but I’ll sit back with the guys in the room, take a second sometimes and it's: How cool is this?" -Aaron Charles Rodgers
Love or hate Saleh, he's better than the Assclown of Arizona. See Tweet with ID 1697429146115187096 if you want a good laugh.
Man that guy couldn't get people to run through a stiff wind much less a wall. What a human punching bag.
Doesn't guarantee anything (Joe) but I think this could be the best Jets team I have seen in my lifetime. I have never looked forward to the regular season more in the entire history of the world. We are Box Office.
the 2010 team was pretty stacked and coming off an AFC championship game loss with high expectations and all the attention we are getting now.
Aaron Rodgers healthy for the next 2 seasons would go a long way towards making me believe this team is the top squad.
Nice wrap up on Hard Knocks... I got a bit verklempt by the end. So looking forward to this season... and like @JetFanInPA said today... and I've said before... this is an easy team to root for. Let's hope it all comes together for a fun season. p.s. Keep an eye on #99... he quietly wicked.
Well, since it looks like 2024 is just going to be a rerun of 2023 - same lousy management, same lousy coaching, same "see what the new/old QB can do" does that mean the Jets should also do a rerun of the Hard Knock experience in 2024?
