If the snag is guaranteed money for this year I think it would have been done. It's absurd to think that even if he got off to a bad start 7 games in we would cut him--so its 99% guaranteed already. And the idea of injury--its easy to insure against that by either Reddick himself or the NYJ.

So I just have a hard time believing this is the issue. If it is, and all Reddick wants is this year guaranteed, and JD somehow won't provide that--very hard to believe.

I think JD was completely ready to guarantee the contract and maybe add a couple mil like you said… if Reddick showed up. Now there’s zero incentive to do anything but make him decide to play out his contract or lose a year of eligibility. At 30 years old it’s his career…

When he does finally show up I hope every Jets fan boos the fuck out of him. This guy is the biggest primadonna I’ve ever seen

No, the biggest primadonna shows up to camp in a hot air balloon, complains loudly about not being able to wear his favorite illegal helmet, freezer burns his feet, calls his GM a cracker, and strips off his uniform and leaves the field in the 3rd quarter....of a jets game.

At least we don't have that.

And the Jets still lost on a Brady comeback.

I wish Judon would call Reddick and tell him to follow in his footsteps

Fuck John Abraham. In the only game that mattered he was on the sideline begging for an IV like a little bitch.

Abraham gets shit for being sick in the 2001 wild card game but its complete bullshit. The Jets dont even sniff the playoffs that year without his 13 sacks and 6 forced fumbles, that's DPOY level play

he also made up for it a year later in the playoffs as a key reason the Jets were able to shut out prime Peyton Manning in the playoffs

just a stupid cheap shot on a great player.

    ---

Trading Abraham away was dumb, they were celebrating in New England at the move. Here they had an awesome young, but thin QB, to protect and their biggest rival trades away an elite pass rusher. That young QB went on to win a million division titles away from the Jets and 5 more superbowls .

Abraham had 80 more sacks after leaving the Jets.

Just to put that in perspective... if you just look at Abraham's career after he left the Jets only, he would have more sacks than any player in Jets history.

It was a typical Jets move. We reward incompetence and punish anything that vaguely resembles success.

Really looking forward to how they screw up the contract extension situations for the Sauce/Wilson/Breece draft. It's going to be one of the most Jetsy debacles of all-time.

    Couldn’t agree more!

Trading away young great players is NEVER a good move

Safe to say Reddick is going to miss being in uniform weeks 1 and 2 at this point?

Depends on his conditioning while he was away from the team. If he comes to senses next week I say he will still play weeks 1 and 2.

His agent is an idiot really.

Jamal Adams also says hello. He's up there. He publicly trashed his teammates, the coach, the GM and the owner. Nice work Jamal!

    from ESPN

"Asked about his confidence level in having Reddick for Week 1, Saleh said, 'I don't know. Honestly, I haven't even thought about it."
