This site has too many whiners, too many people who overvalue the picks. If the Jets could get Calvin Johnson for a third round pick (which of course isn't even close to what the cost would be) their would be some on this site saying, "I wouldn't part with a third rounder,,, for a sixth rounder maybe but not a third." It's just ridiculous.
I definitely would not part with a 3rd rounder for Calvin Johnson. Because if he doesn't go in the top 4 it means he was in a flaming car wreck with Bridget the Midget sitting on his lap holding the crack pipe for him.
It's because he's a tight end. That's not one of the key positions on a football team like QB, pass rusher (end or OLB), left tackle, or interior defensive lineman. It's also because he is not a complete package...yet. He needs to work on blocking. There's nothing bizarre if Olsen gets drafted in the 20s.
That is certainly fair. I'm not crazy about drafting a TE in round 1 unless he is a very dynamic player like Vernon Davis.
