Jets tickets could always be had on the cheap. Before the days of ebay and stubhub...I'm talking for 20 years..there are people outside the stadium begging you to take their tickets. They'd give you one of their kids if you bought 2 at face value.
I forget what College game I was watching but, this freaking Cowboy Oil Man bought his favorite team an INCREDIBLE STADIUM... All on his own.... Wtf stadium was it - I forget maybe Texas or something... But, the guy just bought his own freaking stadium AND an engineering hall.... OH HERE.. I found it - T Boone Pickens stadium - Ohklahoma????? Sheesh... And in New York we can't do it, we have to go to New Jersey and share.
You guys don't piss me off anymore. At this point, I just don't give a damn enough about you as "people" for it to matter. Beer at the Stadium, to pour on unsuspecting fellow fans: $7.50 Spitting at women who have enough class not to "show their tits": $0.00 Defending the indefensable, priceless. And for all those who have the reading comprehension of a two-year-old, the writer was not sympathizing with you. Here's the line that would make it clear, if the rest of it didn't already spell it out for you: Thanks for spending the first two pages proving my post sage-like. This is why God Hates Jets Fans.
First off people know what they are getting themselves into when going for the money in the middle..also beer is so expensive. and I was at the game when Chad got hurt and everyone wasn't cheering for the injury but just supporting Kellen coming into the game..that was all misinterpreted. So Jets' fans take it all in stride. We are tough and we will prevail it will all be much sweeter when that day comes. I bleed green and white so come get some I will be a nasty mother fucker to the day I die. Stay tough, stay mean..and stay green boys..they will never see us coming!!
Wouldn't that be nice? A Jonathan Vilma sack as part of the gameday experience each week? This writer clearly has both eyes focused on the Jets. I've got to be honest, though. I LOVE the Jets, but I absolutely hate Jets fans. Fortunately, I'm Jewish, so I'm used to the whole self-hating thing.
Did you goto that steelers game? I like fans who bitch about the stadium being full of steelers fans from there couch. They are as much to blame as the ticket holders
Holier than thou? I've been to my fair share of Jets games for someone who has never owned season tickets. (Enough to not know the exact number.) I would never even consider asking a woman to expose herself at a game. I would never spill beer on an unsuspecting person, for any reason. Almost every game I have attended, I've been told at least once to sit down and shut up when on my feet cheering for my team. My bitching isn't misplaced, nor uninformed. I would never cheer an injury to a player. Not even Tom Brady, but especially not my own QB. And if I owned season tickets, I would never miss a game for anything short of a birth or funeral. And I would sooner give those tickets to a friend who is a Jets fan than sell them online. Especially for a game where one of my team's all-time greatest players was being honored. If by "holier than though" you mean my opinion that Jets fans should act like they weren't raised in a barn, and show a touch of class, then fine, call me a messiah.
I'm still trying to figure out how this article is a "great read" for Jets fans. I'm a little boggled on that one. More embarrassing if you ask me.
Alios' post about "Jets Season ticket Holders suck", may make sense now because the team is dismal, but it did not at the time it was originally started. As the season has gotten worse, so has all the situations revolving around the home games. Did Season ticket holders suck in 98? Did you ever hear of such stories at Gate D in 02? Or in ,04? What about last year? By the way, in 1999 I was at the Jets -Giants (Giants Home Game). I sat in section 101. I saw on two occasions the Giants Fans cheer for two girls to "show their tits". The girls did and the fans erupted. I never ever saw any mention of it, EVER!!
