Oh, if he ever plays again, he will catch a TD against us. It's already been noted as a loss if we play him.
But he didn't do anything to the fans, he didn't complain he was getting booed, he didn't ridicule the fans. he always conducted himself w/ class.
Well, I think that he did do something to the fans - he almost single handedly caused many people excruciating fits of rage and threw their blood pressure off the charts! Honestly, I agree with your points. He wasn't a bad guy. Didn't embarrass himself off the field (he saved that for gameday) and he didn't go to the media and bitch about money, his lack of PT, etc. I wish him luck. Pretty classy guy.
Titans | McCareins interested in signing with team Mon, 10 Mar 2008 12:47:30 -0700 Jim Wyatt, of The Nashville Tennessean, reports free-agent WR Justin McCareins (Jets) would like to sign with the Tennessee Titans, according to his agent. McCareins is also considering meeting with other teams. "We'll see what happens this week. He may make another trip," agent Cliff Brady said. "We thought he had a great visit and it would be great for him to be there. But we'll have to see how things will work out."
He may make another trip? If he's offered one perhaps. He really might have played himself out of the league last season. Would anyone really be surprised?
Didn't do anything to the fans? Like drop a ball in Baltimore that would have given Clemens his first win, thereby letting down the fanbase? Like drop many balls over the course of his time here, thereby letting down the fanbase? Like come into camp out of shape, then even take a lackadaisical attitude on the exercise bike, thereby letting down the team, coaches, and by extension the fanbase? No, he didn't spit on a fan who asked for his autograph, but then again, he would've had to have had a fan ask him for one in the first place. I'm supposed to be impressed he didn't react to the boos that he earned? I should give him a break because he didn't ridicule the fans at the risk of his own personal health? He didn't conduct himself with class, he simply "got by". You're making far too many excuses for this turd. JMac is a terrible football player. Sadly, it's probably not even be because he lacks talent. However, he clearly lacks any sort of motivation. If you believe that's classy I don't know what to tell you.
Dropping a ball isn't what he meant by doing something to the fans. You guys are stating the obvious and you take it too personal. He didn't drop the balls to spite us, he sucks so they waived him. He tried, you have to hate him?
very few players ever do anything specific to the fans. should every player get their praise sung? by your logic, no player could ever be criticized because they have done anything specifically to you. you are forgetting one key factor-- SPORTS IS A FREAKING EMOTIONAL ACTIVITY FOR FANS. Nothing more, nothing less. we aren't playing or participating in it and have no other investment except for the emotional investment -- to the teams, players and outcome. are you seriously questioning why the fans are behaving emotionally towards a player? or are you simply trying to be high-and-mighty?
and after he came in and was demoted in 2006 he did everything the Jets asked including play very well on STs. Sure he had a few drops but maybe if Clemens wasn't awful for 3 qtrs against baltimore we win that game regardless? Clemens still had a chance to tie that game and threw an INT in the EZ. Your quoite is exactly why it's embarrassing to be a fan. I don't boo, I feel silly booing people for having more talent thatn I do BUT fans have the right to boo. Boo them on the field buit what good does it do when we are still bashing a guy after he's no longer a Jet? bash him when we play his new team but it's silly and classless(typical) on the part of the fans. They's act giddy like 10 yr olds when we get these players but will virtually spit on them out the door. There isn't a purpose to it, does it make people feel better about themselves to continue to bash players? These are all the same people that if they saw Justin they'd run up and ask for his autopgraph.
The first one was all Justin' fault, the 2nd one was a rocket pas w/ zero touch that would have been difficult for Jerry Rice to catch.
