The followup to this is that if the Jets or Giants did change their name to New Jersey, they would be cutting off support from everyone east of the Hudson, just as has happened with the Devils and the Nets. Those teams did at least have the possibility of trying to take fans away from the Rangers and Knicks, respectively, by building a New Jersey identity, but it has also resulted in them having little support when you cross the GW Bridge. The Jets and Giants would gain nothing and lose plenty if they did this (not that I'm suggesting that they would ever consider it, by the way).
I'm not looking to get banned. I just don't like when blow-hards talk shit about NJ. That wasn't even the point of the thread.
This made me lol so much. Im from NY and I agree, how is Jersey 2nd rate? Because of not being able to get spaghetti ! Kind of funny.
Once we go nuclear, we're going to have to consolidate teams anyway. So why don't we just become the New Washington Jetskins, right now?
Do you live in NJ? You'd figure a guy with so much NJ pride would pop that in his location. I like Bergen County, and the Wizard of Oz.
christie should STFU about the jets and just keep ruining our education system like he's been doing. douche.
Second rateness to New York is not necessarily a dis Mr. Bayonne, 1978. I am 5foot 9, 158 lbs if you wanna to know, so Im not a fat ass, and yes you probably could dominate me in a cage match assuming your threats are matched by your physical prowress. I live in this shit hole. You live in this shit hole. Calm down with the vitriol.
This is why I wish we would have got our stadium in Manhattan or somewhere else in NY. I'm proud of New York, I've always been proud of being from South Ozone Park in Queens and I'll always be proud of the New York Jets. I'm not sure if I could deal with a name change from NY to NJ. That would be like the NBA removing the Knicks and trying to force me to become a New Jersey Nets fan. Would be tough to swallow.
