I probably said it at least 20 times after the Jets landed Shoe Booty. Imagine if Cousins had said yes. Think about it. Wait, no, don't.
I think the smartest thing to do is build the best OL possible through the draft or free agency if needed. Then you will have a very strong running game that will help your QB play. The last few years the emphasis has been on the passing game but yards or first downs count the same whether they are picked up through the air or the ground. Actually, when they are picked up through the ground it is even better because it keeps your defense off the field and rested especially in the fourth quarter. This is what the Jets did the first two years of Rex and Sanchez. When the Jets OL started to be dismantled in the third year Sanchez became a bad QB.
