Arent all offenses systems built to get the MOST out of a QB? I agree that if you put Foles in another offense he wont put up those numbers. He is in a system that is made to maximize his potential, but that is not his fault. Even guys like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady have been in systems built to maximize what they can do. Bill O brien DID NOT have to create a playbook that feature a lot of two tight end plays, he did though because it would maximize Bradys stats at the time. Even guys like Eli Manning and Joe Flacco, there offensive coordinators made plays based around the deep ball because that is what both their strengths are. Imagine if you put Peyton Manning in a run heavy offense? That would be limiting his potential... In my humble opinion, I dont think Sanchez has ever really been in the best system or has had the appropriate talent to maximize himself. Did Brian Schottenheimer run a lot of play action for Sanchez? Yes he did, Ill give him that, that was always a strong point. But in 2011 Sanchez did not have an offensive line, and then in 2012 it was just a mess everywhere. Sanchez played in the WCO, we did not run that during Sanchez's time here when he started.
Well... Since YOU wanted him to take less, who are Jets and Sanchez and 31 other team to contradict the Almighty Ledger? Tell you what... I actually really really don't give a flying fuck about Eagle's backup QB, even though he used to play for my team. So feel free to live in your fantasy. You believe Sanchez would've taken vet min and Jets missed a chance to trade him for Jamaal Charles plus two 1st rounders? Fine by me, consider that you've proven this to be god given truth. I simply don't give enough shit about Sanchez.
This post does not even deserve a response other than to say you and others like you have an interesting way of expressing your indifference about Sanchez. But thanks for coming in this Sanchez thread to let us know you don't give a shit about Sanchez.
Then why are you posting in a thread clearly titled "Mark Sanchez"? Clearly you DO give a flying fuck. Or your hate is so deep and so visceral that you can't stand not to come here and shit on an ex-Jet. You're a great Jet fan. Good on you. _
Well with the way the NFL works, Sanchez will likely start next season. I mean last year SO MANY jobs opened up, because coaches are constantly on hot seats, General managers are constantly on hot seats, the Green Packers had Seneca Wallace starting last year....... And pretty much any head coach/GM that IS NOT a rookie, they would trade for him if they needed a QB, because if they dont have success, they are getting fired. (Dolphins, Giants, Atlanta, St Louis, etc.)
It's funny RudooshJetFan is so indifferent about Sanchez he has to dump on him here AND in the Jet forum even when the subject doesn't involve Sanchez. Obviously he doesn't give a flying fuck about him. I think Sanchez banged his girlfriend. _
Actually, right before he or she (don't want to make any assumptions) posted, I said aloud to myself: "self, I wonder if RuJFan gives a flying fuck about Eagle's backup QB, even though he used to play for my team". However, I was too embarrassed to ask via a post. One could only imagine my surprise and joy to have this mystery solved on the very next post I read. Not knowing would have been eating away at me for months.
I believe teams are trying to trade for Sanchez right now, but I think Chip Kelly saw something in him, that is why he signed him. Chip knows what he has.
Someone asked Chip Kelley after Mark went something like 8 for 9 in an exhibition game (and of course a pick that was almost a pick 6 and a few plays later resulted in an NEP TD) and all he said was that he would deal anyone if the price is right. What is he supposed to say. I strongly doubt with his bottom of the league stats as an NFL starter there is serious interest in Mark. Most people in NFL front offices know he sucks.
There's this new narrative that's starting gain some traction among Sanchez haters which is moving on was the right decision regardless of what Sanchez does going forward. When is that ever true in a results driven business like professional sports? If you release a guy and he ends up being successful while the guy you replace him with does not, trust me no one is going to remember or care about the circumstances back when you released him.
