As far as I am concerned, my Hermy hatred makes this qualify for the Jets forum, even if it's only for a day. KC is in deep shit, and hey know it already. I will love watching that ship sink from the safety of the shoreline.

    Same with Plaxico...They're O.G.'s:).

Anyway, Law looked pretty average tonight, but their defense as a whole was way below average...Credit the Giants offense, but damn KC's defense was tore up...They didn't have their 2 starting DT's, but the pass defense and missed tackles were atrocious...

I dispise the Cover-2 when you do not have the personel to run it...Their is no speed rusher, Allen has a high motor, but not nearly a Freeney, Rice, Abraham or Ogunleye...The LB core is average, without Derrick Johnson this LB core would be in the bottom of the league, he makes it respectable.

Herm has his work cut out for him defensively...The cushin the CB's gave was in-explanable...Herm needs to get that defense sorted out fast if they have any shot for the division...

Funny you should mention that... We went over to City Barbeque here in Columbus and picked up quite a bit of food. They just happen to specialize in KC ribs too.. (I'm a pulled pork kinda guy)

My next door neighbor is a Browns fan so he hates the bangles too. Tellya what though. I wouldn't be above trying to get two tickets into Paul Brown stadium just for the experience. Great looking ballpark from the outside..

Good day today! Granted it was preseason but the team def looks good and ready to go. A question about Herm though.. Did he walk out on you guys or was he close to getting fired and jumped ship? How did actually go down? I never really understood what happened.. Also I noticed he is turning the team into the Midwest Jets. Alot of the style was very similar to you guys. Ah well either way we played well against their first team, and our backups just dominated from there.

I believe we got Leon Washington with that 4th pick. No way do I want to undo this! In fact, I'd give up next year's 1st Rounder to keep him away!

Two postings from a Chiefs page on the Kansas City Star:

Does anybody else or is it just me think that coach herm really screwed this team up? I just don't see any fire in these guys. I know it's a preseason game but c'mon. where the defense and the offense, and eric hicks is over rated and should be cut.

Herm sucks and this team sucks. they're just a shell of what they once were on offense and the D doesn't look any different - maybe worse. even Ty Law looked shocked.

I have absolutely nothing against Chiefs fans, don't know many and never really met any...

But damn, I actually kind of feel sorry for them...Such high expectations for a potential SB team prior to the pre-season just took a shot with Willie Roaf retiring, Brian Waters hurt, Tony Richardson gone and trying to implement a Cover-2...Yikes.

Well, that certainly didn't take long did it? :) I was prepared to give Herm one year of success before it started to go downhill but here we are already. We got a 4th round pick for 'ol Hermie. What a steal!!!!

pre season or not, these chiefs are not looking ready for the regular season just yet. I have to blame herm, they do not look kile a team that's been the #1 offense for a couple years. The announcers said that herm plans to slow things down and run a ball control offense. He did not mention any plans for the 3 steps behind defense.

The Giants showed them how unprepared they were last night as a result of Herm's "rigorous" camp. It's history repeating itself.

You'd think, if for no other reason, the Chiefs would have been up for this game and would have had something to respond to because it was Herm's first trip back to NY, playing in the Meadowlands again. These poor Chiefs fans have no idea the heartache that awaits them...

I was the the game last night.
LJ may be in trouble this season, because when the Giants DTs are stuffing the run, you know something is wrong.

Brandon Jacobs looks great when he runs with authority but keeps trying to act like Tiki.

I hope Lorenzen makes the roster over Rob Johnson. He's an animal.

^ ^ ^ Yeah, plus Rob Johnson is really, really terrible. I thought he was done 2 years ago?

playoff expectations maybe but SB. I don't think so. They would have to have a complete turnaround on defense for those kind of expectations and that is a far reach. Any KC fans with those kind of expectations would be living in lala land. :)

Warning to Mike Solari (OC) and Gunther Cunningham (DC): don't get thrown under the bus:

“When you come in with a new system on defense and a new coordinator on offense, you’re not going to be clicking (immediately). I understand that. The way we played the last couple of games, we played pretty vanilla. We’re trying to evaluate players, but still you’ve got to play with more urgency than we’ve played with. That’s what we’ve got to do this week.”
