I like it. We already know how useless Gholston is with a coach that won't play him. Now we find out what happens when he sees the field consistently. If he sucks terribly and the team suffers for it, Rex and Gholston take the fallout. Which is as it should be.

    Hahaha, yeah, i meant 2006.

Um, right, you're not speculating that much, you went to an Eagles message board full of jackasses and they speculated for you.

...which is pretty much exactly what happened already, switching from Herm to Mangini.

    Herm- all heart, no head.

    Mangini- all head, no heart.

Rex- I will eat your heart and bash your head in and then fucking laugh about it.

Mangini had immediate success because a team full of passionate players started using their think boxes. I think Rex will have immediate success because a team full of cerebral players will start playing with passion.

Trial by fire. Perfect way to see what we have. It shows Gholston that we believe he can produce, which should help his game. If he doesn't, maybe we can trade him before the deadline or cut his ass after. It's all on him now. He can no longer blame the coaching staff about not getting the right PT.

That's an interesting theory. I hope you're right.

I never went to the Ealges board to find out stuff that I havn't known about Lito Sheapprd...Any football junkie over the years knows what type of talent Lito Sheppard has been over the years... I simply went over there to see what types of thoughts they had on the Jets addition of Lito Sheppard and they all had nothing but great things to say about Sheppard (I was shocked). I thought they were gonna say this, say that, but no...Those Philly fans let it be known what type of overall talent the Jets had.

I went over there for the same reasons Jet fans post on Jet message boards...To talk sports-Not about "speculation"...

I also went over to the Ravens message board to hear their thoughts on Rex Ryan and Bart Scott (I already knew that Rex Ryan was one of the best 3-4 Defensive minds to ever coach the game), I also knew that Bart Scott was one of the best 3-4 MLB's around and it's called talking sports with opposing fans...Nothing about "speculating".

It must take a speculator to know a speculator because your the one speculating that I was speculating about Lito Sheppard which is wrong and incorrect...

Just like everyone knows Newman, Bailey, Samuel, Revis, Woodson have all been top 10 cover corners over the years, I'm pretty sure that anyone that knows anything about football knows and understands that Sheppard has been a top 10 cover corner over the years...It only takes being a fan of the game to recognize that and it's insane to call out another poster for the simple fact he wanted thoughts from opposing fans

Wrong. Here is what you said:

None of those fans were in the lockerroom or at all of the practices, and I'm sure plenty of them saw Sheppard play fall off in 2007. They based their opinions on sports articles and blurbs. What you posted is pure speculation no matter how you spin it. They know that Sheppard was relegated to 4th CB on their roster and tried to piece together the story from the limited info available to football fans. What we post on these boards is mostly speculation anyway.

We will see that is true and what is speculation on the field this year. But I will temper my expectations for Sheppard, even though I am hoping it was more of a doghouse issue than it was an issue of his losing a step. Football is far more than physical talent and football skill, sometimes players just lose focus and do not get it back, depending on emotional or social factors.

I like how so many people are saying "OH its good to see Rex has confidence and will actually let him see the field"...

...when you know its really because the guy in front of him is suspended.

What Rex is really saying is "we have few choices but to start him".
