i think peyton will be a colt next year. i would love to have him here but i don't think it's going to happen.

but having both manning and sanchez on the roster is retarded. you either think sanchez is our qb of the future or you don't. you don't bench him after 3 years to study another 3 years under peyton. there is no reset button on his development.

Really?????? Manning is better than Unitas, Namath, Campbell, Harris, Dorsett, and Lott combined? Do you know anything about football before 2000 or 2005? Do you know any of these players and what they accomplished? How old are you? I think you would have a hard time arguing that Manning was better than Unitas and forget the other players.

I think I am arguing with a combination of a bunch of 15 year olds on the one hand and a group of trolls on the other hand on this board.

All year, huh? You have only been a member here for a couple of weeks. Guess you were just sitting there, stewing the entire season behind your anonymous non-member status, biding your time?

Doesn't seem like the style of someone who has spent the past few days racking up hundreds of posts, but okay.

Do you realize that this team is more than its QB? Take Aaron Rodgers away from the packers and they are still a SB contending team because the are a well built TEAM.

You just dont realize that this is a team sport.

If we enter this offseason with the mentality of building an actual franchise, around Sanchez, then how is it risky? We would actually look to fill our holes and not the only hole in your eyes being the QB position.

How going into FA trying to sign a top tier Safety, veteran RT, and a capable WR risky? How is going into the draft with the Safety position addressed along with RT and WR? How is drafting a passrusher in the fisrt, OL in 2nd and WR in 3rd risky?

How is Manning going to cover a TE, rush the passer, protect himself, block in the run game, catch a pass? He's going to help this team, I am not saying he wont, but how can you honestly say that filling holes that are a HUGE need and have been isnt a smart option?

99% of the posts I've seen from you have been about the QB position. I just cant take your posts seriously anymore if you truly think that Sanchez is this teams only problem.

What fan base do you know of in our division that dwells mostly on the QB position, because it gives them a feeling of superiority? There is the answer to your boggle.

Do you realize our defense is not the freakin problem, its the offense who is inept. And that reflects mostly on our incompetent Qb. Want more proof look at the Colts record last year with Peyton and look at it without. Thats right 1 player! Now if you think were not better then a 8-7 this year with Peyton starting your dellusional. Our defense has been top 10 in almost every category with our incompetent offense as its supporting cast who goes 3 and out probally more then every team in the league is last. How many teams besides the Baltimore Ravens don't wish for our defense huh? Whatever im done with this topic because its like preaching to a tree. If Sanchez is out of this league in 5 years washing cars for a living the same fanboys will be saying the Jets didn't give him enough time and he would of still became Joe Montana given another 2 years. Just wasting my time here as I will never get thru to you.

Your goal is to win a Super Bowl, right?

Well those two QBs combined have won a total of 2 rings in 33 NFL seasons. Favre won in 1996 and never again after that. Manning was considered a playoff choker for years until the Colts defense rose up and played well enough for the Colts to win in 2006. Other than that, both have been mediocre post season QBs. Manning is 9-10 in his career and Favre 13-11.

And who has accomplished more in their careers means nothing at this point. It all comes down to who will accomplish more going forward. I put my money on a 25 year old who is still improving and has proven he can win in January over a 36 year old coming off a serious injury. I also put my money on the player that will enable the GM to build a team around him, not the guy who will go to the highest bidder if he is set free, eating up the salary cap of the team he goes to.

Plus only three QBs over 36 years old have ever won a SB. The odds are so stacked against Manning winning a SB as a Jet it is just not worth it.

Still won 1 more then Sanchez didn't he. Bump this topic please when Sanchez wins 1. If Sanchez won 1 or Peyton never won 1 youd have a argument. Id take a Qb with a good track record who has won even 1 superbowl over a unproven peice of crap with "potential" anyday.

Steve Young took a path kind of like that and turned out OK.

Not even close. But good stereotype, jackass. I'm just "defending" him because I want what's better for MY team. I've seen it too many times before with O'donnell, Favre and hell, even Boomer. I don't want this team to set themselves back like they have in the past.

I'm stating the obvious. Manning is a bad choice and Mark is in his 3rd fucking year with a shit fucking team. Mark could have/would have gotten us to 2 superbowls in his first 2 years if Rex's famous D showed up.

Our team is not shit, we made the Afccg past 2 years with very little help from Mark. If Mark played like Brady past 2 years and we did that then youd have a argument. But his 65 ratings and 74 ratings don't exactly make the team around him shit.

The Colts made their franchise dependent on one player. Thats why the Colts record is the way it is.

Do you honestly want a franchise like that?

Wasting your time? How about you learn the definition of a team sport, because from your outlook on it, you dont know what it is nor have participated in one.

Im so sorry that I waste your oh so valuable time, I should be ashamed of myself.

You mean the Brady that hasn't won a playoff game in 4 years??? That Brady? The Brady that Sanchez outplayed completely in the playoffs last year? Is that the guy you mean?

Havent you realized that Sanchez is the only topic that is relevant when speaking of the Jets? I mean he currently is the whole team, and is the only player on the team...

yeah, and kurt warner worked at a grocery store for a while and that was ok too.

doesn't mean we should send mark to work at the local bodega.
