I wouldn't say 50% less, there have been a couple of sacks this year that have happened amazingly fast.
OK, then they would have given up "significantly" less sacks. What do you think Manning would have done on Sanchez's safety last week? That ball would have been thrown into the 10th row before the defender laid a finger on him.
Wasn't Sanchez outside of the tackle box? All the throw had to do was go beyond the LOS and it would not have been grounding.
I don't believe he was on that play but not 100% sure. I get what your saying though probably about 10 sacks or so would have been prevented with Manning at the helm.
Sanchez had about 2.9 or 3 seconds to throw it before the DL got to him. That's a reasonable amount of time in the NFL.
Maybe. But that's around 20 sacks, and one of those would have broken his neck again the way Wayne Hunter fails to even chip the man he's got spinning him around like a top.
Regardless of anything else that happens in the offseason, the Jets need to replace the turnstile at RT. The Cowboys ended up with one of the better RT's in the league with the guy they drafted in the first round this year.
He started backpedalling at about 3 seconds and got sacked 5 seconds in. He had the time to throw it away, he just didn't for some sort of reason.
Even the commentator who was on his balls all 4th quarter practically calling him the greatest 4th quarterback ever, and every analyst said that was on him, he should of never been in the endzone in the 1st place as he had time to step up. Just another rookie mistake from a dumb 3rd year quarterback.
it's not only about peyton having a much quicker release to avoid sacks. pre-snap, you know he's doing everything he can to protect himself on pass plays. there's no way he spends an entire game watching hunter get shit on repeatedly. but seriously, he's going to be a colt next year.
That safety call was crap, though. He got the throw off before tackled. I hate that the refs can make BS judgement calls and rule a guy down without even giving him a fighting chance. That was clearly the refs being cornballs. Hey guys. WE KNOW SANCHEZ ISN'T PEYTON MANNING. It doesn't mean it would magically fix all of our problems to sign him and cut half the team or that Sanchez isn't capable. He has elevated his game EVERY YEAR IN THE NFL. When he has good protection and strong running game his QB rating is around 100 almost every time.
This is the dumbest article I have ever read. So we should trade premium draft picks and tons of cap space for a guy at the end of his career coming off a craeer threatening injury? A guy who is known for choking in Janaury while we have a good, young, developing QB who has proven he isn't a choker in Janaury. makes sense to me
