No offense but if Drew Bledsoe is that high up..then he might be borderline retarded once the ball is snapped. Now, of course he isnt retarded..the point is how can a guy make so many stupid plays. Its like getting the answers to a test before you take it..and then failing it.
Because I think Bledsoe makes better reads than Pennington obviously, lol. And I don't see how being from 6-10 is "far" down the list. My contradiction is in putting so many guys after the top 5, I should have split into "better" and "comparable" instead of just listing a group of players and using both terms for it and expecting the reader to consider it debatable for enough of those players to keep Chad in the top 10. My fault on that one. I personally haven't been impressed with a lot of what Chad has been doing in terms of changing plays and deciding who to go to this year, especially against the better defenses. It seems he usually goes conservative and checks down way too quickly. It's not always just on INTs, he'll miss an open WR because the read doesn't have him go to that side of the field (this happened with Coles a few weeks back). If people don't want to agree with me that is fine, I don't mind. But I firmly believe that he needs to improve, and that it is possible for him to do so. Like I said in the first post, if he can improve to be the best in the league, I believe he can be basically the 6th best QB in the league despite his physical limitations, and that is plenty good enough to win a Super Bowl. If you really think Chad is currently one of the best in terms of the mental aspects of the game, then we should cut ties with him right now, because his performance has been pedestrian and not enough to get it done.
Haha I take no offense, but you are right. It's because he is so bad against pressure. It's like having all the answers to the test but then filling out the bubbles wrong because someone is over your shoulder yelling. Also, making the right read doesn't mean it is the right play. For instance, a few weeks ago (or was it months now) they had the camera angle behind the QB, and I immediately made the same read Bledsoe made. The ball was picked, but in terms of general football theory he made the right throw. Of course, I don't know for sure what the NFL read is, but if it doesn't differ too much from HS theory I think it was the right read. Sometimes defenders make great plays, and sometimes the DC baits you by giving you the proper textbook read but then disgusing the defense to take advantage of that. I don't know how guys do it at the NFL level, I don't think people understand how much i admire these guys, and why being in the top 10 is still a huge compliment, at least from my thinking.
 Good one. Very good point about once he feels pressure after the snap thought...I hear you..good point.
