I pointed out two players that get way more love than deserved. Holmes is garbage for the reasons listed above (his production is absolutely piss-poor) he fumbles, he does not block and he leaves his team out to dry. I would rather have Cotchery or a young player who is hungry.

Cro has value and we have a young guy, entering his 3rd season and ready to step-up. Is Wilson perma nickle back? why? We need a pass rush look at other secondarys in the league. We don't need cro when we have Revis and wilson and we can find another young corner in the draft. Cro can't tackle and he kills us with penalties.

We need to run the football so badly. Running the football will fix all of Sanchez's problems (and maybe he will survive another season instead of getting hit 100+ times.)

Great feedback though bro. Keep the shitheads, reward the losers.

I like the blue-collar players that have something to prove.

All said we made our bed, so we sleep in it. I hope Holmes and Cro have the their best seasons in 2012 and we win a championship. I hope they preform exceptional and honor the contracts they signed.

I just don't think you're right about Cro, he has some rough penalties and he is overpaid but he is an above average corner and is a playmaker. We don't know if Wilson can hold down CB fulltime. My guess is he can but we just don't know. I would put our CB tandem against any teams with full confidence. We have glaring holes in our team and you point them out but Cro is not one of them.

Beyond the fact that you're overreacting about Cro and Holmes play, this isn't a Madden Franchise. You don't get to toggle the Cap on and off. Trading these guys would kill us financially.

There is a reason Cro makes as much as he does. The name Tanny and somewhere in there something negative are parts of it.

But as a player he is one of the best on the team. He gets challenged more than Revis, in what is a passing league, and gets it done according to comparative analyses at a very high level. Even Revis gives up plays now and then. Even Mangold doesn't handle every block at an optimal level.

I just don't get the dislike for Cro around here.

I stopped reading at trade holmes and cromartie

Who's playing wr? Who's gonna cover? Who plays nickel when wilson has to move outside?

Let's gut the little depth we have for a a rb with knee issues who will be past his prime soon. Yes.

    This will help sanchez.

We've sacrificed depth in the front 7 for depth at cb. Let's trade away that depth and create more holes

This place is going down the drain

Edit:cromartie is so underrated here its ridiculous. You guys are ignorant and spoiled by revis

Ftr Mangold is my favorite player on the team, but I know even he is not perfect.

I will never understand the Cromartie ripping on this board or from anyone else. He was top 10 in the NFL this year in burn %, or how often your WR beats you. He had a very good season highlighted by 1 or 2 really poor games (Cowboys game comes to mind). Other than that he was as solid as can be for a #2 corner.

Rip him cause he has 234902 wives and kids. Rip him cause he's obnoxious in his quotes sometimes. Don't rip him for his play cause you'll come off as illogical.

    ^Cro lost Oakland.

Anyway, I'm not ripping cro. In fact I said he is #1/ #2 quality in the league. I think he has a lot of value. He is fast and a pretty good cover corner. I think he hurt us on penalties, I think he is a shit tackler, but I do have to agree with everyone else that he gets thrown at a lot bc we have #24 on the other side.

My question (before i got smacked with cap knowledge) is we have an emerging young corner in Wilson (entering yr 3) Is wilson never going to be a #2 or #1 in the league? Is wilson only a good #3 option, nickle back? If wilson is a big boy now entering year 3 he should be able to cover anybody cro can cover, right? I believe wilson is ready.

We have Revis why do we need so much talent at the position when there are so many other holes on the d. Like a solid pass rusher that could help Mr. Revis have like 10 picks this year.

IMO stopping the run is more important than stopping the pass. We have solid corners in Revis and Wilson. IMO we pick up a young speedster in 4th or 5th that can play nickle or you fill in an average vet who can play nickle through free agency.

Again, due to cap repercussion apparently trading cro is too detrimental to the team.

if i had to roll with the players we already gave (no safeties) i'd put cro and wilson at DB, maybin as strong safety, and revis as deep/free safety. hell, let revis provide deep cover for both sides of the field.

plus, paying revis $12m/yr as a free safety we'd make it impossible for any other team to franchise tag their own safeties so we can grab one next year and move revis back over!
