I honestly don't think I'm looking too far into this. I'm being 100% honest in what I see. It isn't because I hated the Geno pick and don't like him as our QB. During the 5 three and outs today, Geno looked a hell of a lot like Mark did when he was on his decline. He looked broken, battered and bruised. ... And it's only been 4 weeks! lol. Geno has better weapons and running game, I don't know why he does what he does. I really think the pressure is getting to him. I do. If Geno brought us back and we won this game, or were 2-1 or 3-0 and lost this game and a fan says something stupid (which Jets fans are known for) then maybe, okay, yeah it's something to brush off.. But to me this is a red flag. I feel even if we bench this buffoon, he's out of it if/when he's put back in...
Yeah but Geno still has Rex's total support. Let me guess, Rex, "Geno gives us the best chance to win, right?" Is Geno's number tattooed to your other arm?
Which is fine, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think if there's one quality he has, it's his ability to take things like New York in stride. He's just not a guy that crumbles under the New York media and fan base. I don't think he's struggling because of the moment, I just think the NFL is too fast for him and he isn't as talented as many of us thought, including myself. He has taken many steps forward in his game, but I just don't think he's built for the NFL. I was very wrong about him. I thought he was going to be the answer for us and be a very good quarterback. It's quite obvious the game is too fast for him.
Well that's hard to compare with home fans considering I don't think there has ever been a New England fan chanting for the backup QB lol
I don't think it's a big deal either. I don't even think it's a story. But, this is what you get when your quarterback sucks a big ass dick.
I think the real problem is the lack of support for this team. Yeah we are fans of a team that hasn't won a Super Bowl in a long fucking time. Many of you think that gives you a right to be pissed all the time, that in turn makes it acceptable to shit on your team whenever things are grim. My God. Wake up, the fans have been part of this losing culture for a long time because instead of being uplifting in the stands, cheering on your team to make a come back, the majority are screaming "We want, Vick!!". That is only one example. It's a disgrace. It blows my mind that fans get so wrapped up in negativity that they just can't contain it, even though many of you have to know that is only going to effect our players I'm a negative way. It sure as fuck not going to motivate any of the players on this team. Fucking sad.
I understand him wanting to curse out an idiot fan but he just can't do it. One of the things we always hear about geno is he never gets too high or too low but he's clearly beyond frustrated right now so that composure is gone both on and off the field.
These were the same fans throwing a hissy fit for when Sanchez would smile and say "We'll get em next time" during each press conference, now a QB shows frustration/disgust in his play by this action and its "how dare you!".
why dont you say what you really feel? we all know what you're inferring here. statements like this, are what truly makes me hate part of this fan base. just moronic in every sense.
my stance on this, btw, is that i dont really have a huge issue with him yelling back at the fan. our fans have proven, time and time again, that they can be complete assholes. also, rumor has it what the fan said warranted a punch in the face, nevermind a "fuck you". i do, however, think that it might be time to give vick a look. the reason being is that geno is clearly rattled and frustrated. hes just "off" right now, and this isnt basketball, where you tell a guy who is cold to "keep shooting" to get out of it. we are a quarter of the way through the season and are 1-3. we can salvage the season if we make the move now (obviously pending if it works). the reason i think it will work, is because A) vick knew this offense the second he walked in the door. its the same offense that revitalized his career. B) it changes how teams gameplan against us. say what you want about his age and injury history, but you always have to respect his ability to take off, and he showed that he still has that ability in the preseason. C) it may actually help geno. it will give him a chance to see what this offense is capable of when it is working correctly. i dont buy into the whole "stunt his growth" theory here. if he is a true professional, he will use this as a tool to grow and come back better from it, with a better understanding of the offense, due to seeing it work correctly
if you do anything, DONT CLICK THE LINK!!!! dont give idiots clicks for stupid articles that really have nothing to do with anything. cimini has been waiting for a year for something to write about. and he found it. and he will see the traffic it gets and be reassured that he is doing a good job when the fact is he sucks pig balls.
