You can call them excuses but when we go get another QB, whether it's Mariotta, Hoyer, Palmer, Winston, Cook....pretty much anyone available, and the don't improve the cast around them, it's going to be the same shit. When Geno is given a decent pocket he ends up throwing an accurate pass 75% of the time. He's not a good improvisor, but that's really not saying much because there are about 3 QB's in the entire league that are. Rodgers, Big Ben. Bress. Manning, Brady, Rivers, Ryan, Stafford, Romo, Eli. All guys that if you put pressure on them and make them move, bad things happen. If given time in the pocket though they are lethal. That's what I have seen out of Geno. He doesn't throw the retarded interceptions like Sanchez did where he would just throw it into triple coverage and it get's picked off easily. When he throws them it's because he is trying to make something out of nothing after the initial play has broken down.
haha you posted this a few times… i don't think the steelers will deal him unless they have a sure fire replacement…he would prob retire before agreeing to come here haha
You are looking at Geno through blue and yellow colored glasses. Everybody has "elite" accuracy when they have a clean pocket, it's when plays break down and QBs need to look at second third or fourth options that make them great. And there are PLENTY of QBs that can do that. Geno can't because he has an incredibly low football IQ. You keep making excuses, keep making up fantasies about what you think you're seeing. His 2 pick sixes were as bad as anything Sanchez ever threw. Oh btw, Geno now has MORE pick-6's in 1.3 seasons than Sanchez had in 4 full seasons and 6 playoff games. And please don't dump on Pennington, Geno couldn't hold his jock. _
This is a POS article and Mehta is a fucking dumbass. There's literally nothing wrong with what Geno said.
As everyone should know by now, the media is the business of creating the news, not reporting it. And generally, the stories that the media creates tend to be stories that only media members actually care about. In essence, I don't give a fuck about this story.
I hate West Virginia so those glasses are not anywhere near me. The pick-6 against the Bears was awful. No doubt. The Bears loss was all on him and he deserved the blame. The Bronco pick-6 though? Seriously. We are on our 1 yard line with 35 seconds left and no timeouts and the pocket is collapsing on him. At that point you either throw the ball somewhere or you take a safety. If you seriously thing taking a safety was the right move then just stop now. For every decision a QB makes, there are other decisions he could have made. The pick-6 in the Bear game should have been in the dirt. The Bronco one though? The game was over once the Punter pinned the Jets back. Our O-Line needed to give Geno and the WR's time to develop a deep passing play and they couldn't.
You're a Geno apologist. That's all you've done since you've gotten here. That and your LOLworthy "elite accuracy" thread. _
I'll tell you what I want him to do. Go on the PS and switch places with Simms. He needs to mature, remember draft day. Let's see what Simms has we are going to lose anyway Vick is only here for this year, and he is old and I don't like him. Geno is still an immature pup. Go ahead bash me
Honestly I wouldn't mind at all for the same reason I didn't mind Vick getting in in the 2nd half of the Charger game, and even that apparently didn't make most Jet fans open their eyes at all. My guess though is that when Simms or Vick or Future 1st round pick, or whomever is playing still sucks, Jet fans will just continue to blame the QB. That's just how it is here. I will take back some of that though. SOME fans are starting to realize that we need to rebuild our O-Line and WR core 1st.
Care to address the "worse than anything Sanchez threw" on the pick 6s? Specifically the Broncos one. I agree with the previous sentiment, it's throw into double coverage or take a fucking safety.... At least the kid doesn't want to take a safety to save our idiotic fans a chance of bashing him over every turn over...
Geno hardly ever takes a snap under center. I know that was what his College's playbook called for. I don't think I've ever seen him step up into the pocket that the OL creates. OL's are supposed to create pockets and protect. I just don't think that he can see that at this point, it's sad, he has had 2 training camps 1 1/2 seasons and one movie missed practice Geno doesn't know how to move up after his 3,5,7 steps back and get into the pocket. when he doe's it 2 or 3 times a game. It's not all the OL . He may turn out good. But as I said before very immature
Precisely, just like when Rex disagreed with Herm Edward's opinion last week. The media upped the ante with a disengenuous "Rex lashes out at Herm" headline as if Rex had gone off the deep end and took a swipe at Herm which he didn't. Bullshit thread involving a trolling little bullshit artist in Mehta.
