Bias of recency. Saying Sanchez is better than Geno is like saying getting kicked in the shin is better than getting kicked in the balls. Doesn't meant shit and it still is brutal

You have absolutely no idea what you are watching if you think Geno is like Mark Sanchez. W/ Mark we make the playoffs last year, w/ Mark this year we are in playoff contention. Mark in his ONLY bad season w/ half the talent we have now had us in playoff contention in December.

Jet fans deserve this mess for wanting Mark out.

Sanchez had his weapons taken away which is a major reason he struggled. Geno was given top tier talent and just plain sucks.

BINGO! And I also believe we make the playoffs with Sanchez last year and we are right in it if we have him this year.

    Wtf?!?

Getting kicked in the shin is 1000x better than getting kicked in the balls.

I agree that they are both below average QB's, but at least with Sanchez we saw some success.

As much as I couldnt stand him by the end, he was QB for my 2 best years of Jets football.

Chris Johnson, Chris Ivory, Jace Amaro, Eric Decker and now Percy Harvin = top tier. I didn't say elite, but can you imagine what any halfway decent QB could do with these weapons?

I don't think they are top tier and Harvin's been here what 10 days? So you have to replace his name with Jeremy Kerley if you want to look back. This team has had horrible weapons for so long that competent weapons can appear better than they are. Most of those guys you listed at competent/average/ maybe Decker is above average, but certainly not top tier as a whole, that's asinine.

I'm not making excuses for the coaching staff or any QBs we have here I just think there is no way anyone could say there are top tier weapons here. That statement is blind to the talent that exists in this league.

People still comparing Geno to Mark clearly do not understand football. They never did though. Mark is a BRIGHT SPOT in Jets history. Geno represents one of the worst periods. The team is unwatchable.

Mark would have led us to the same shithole last season as Geno with the redzone turnovers. We were a fluke 8-8 team last year.

Sure Mark had 2 good years especially in the playoffs...but he was also a turnover machine

You always made it seem as Mark was better played then given credit for and I always argued he was like Rex Grossman 2.0 those glory years just because we were so good on defense and had weapons

Can't disagree with those 2 years, but he got worse real fast

They both are in the Jets history books. Sanchez 4 playoff wins and Smith the 0.0 passer rating this past Sunday.

I think Mark at his worst was still better than Geno. Never did I see Mark throw 3 interceptions all in the same QTR. Mark at the worst could complete 10 passes in a game.

I don't think any QB threw 3 straight picks in 3 consecutive drives. [Unless, of course, that said retard happens to be Geno.]

Mark at his worst was 2012 vs. Titans on Monday Night Football and yeah, still slightly better than Geno yesterday.

I wonder how many he could have thrown if he wasn't replaced in the 1Q. Could he have thrown an INT in FOUR straight drives? Could he have thrown 5 or more in the game? I guess we'll never know...

we would have been a playoff team last year.

If you think he was Rex Grossman like you don't understand what you are watching. Mark had one bad season w/ the worst talent around him in the league. we should have been adding pieces around him instead of stripping them away. Now we have some talent but we don't have a QB.

he looked off from the first throw, I am not someone that wants his QB pulled too quick but by the 2nd one I wanted him out. I don't know why we waited for 3.
