Geno is a scapegoat

    In the past rookie Qbs almost never started. But after RG3, Tannehill, Dalton, Luck (and you know it's a copycat league) the Jets esp after the Sanchez injury and no viable backup (after the Garrard fiasco) started Geno even though they knew he wasn't ready. He was horrible but improved and finished the season playing better football. And has been inconsistent since. I heard a shocking stat on SNY yesterday: his Qb numbers are even below those of Demarcus Russell. Some of his game stats like last week are among the lowest ever recorded by an NFL Qb. So if you're a Geno fan: the dude has 24 starts. By this time he should have improved. Plus he shows no leadership ability. You have to go with Vick. As for his future: no use cutting him. Right now he qualifies as an experienced backup.
