No, but tell me what you think about it anyway.

To my surprise, I greatly enjoyed those cartoony, Nintendo-based sports games (Kart, Tennis, Golf) for the N64. Although I don't give a shit about soccer, I was thinking about giving the game a try anyway, since it looks like a blast.

I've play for a couple of hours and so far the game is fun, if you play online just watch out for cheezers who use the hammer bros.

So can you actually play against people online?

Also is it similar to the GC version? I loved that version. Are the controls alright?

    Yes w/friends or ranked matches. 1 on 1, 2 on 2, etc.

I didn't play the GC version but from I hear it's plays like it but better.

The controls are great, it's easy for beginners like me and can be complex enough for the pros.

Awesome, cuz the Wii (tho my favorite system of the 3, I've played them all) can have some hard controls sometimes (see madden) and I wouldn't think it'd be too hard for a soccer game but you never know. Are there any swing the wimote motions you do?

    Thanks for the advice btw.

The swinging motion is only used for tackling which can be done to anyone but the goalie when you don't have the ball.

Update your Wiis people, as the Wii's software version 3.0 just came out today.

    Channels:
-Digital Clock added to the Wii Menu right under the channel bar
-Forecast Channel now displays the current condition (cloudy, raining, etc.) directly in the Wii Menu in the Forecast Channel box
-News Channel can now show 2 scrolling headlines at a time in the Wii Menu, 3 when you click on the button
-Message Board now has the “Today’s Accomplishments” message as a white message which allows it to stand out from other messages
-Address Book entries can now be shifted around using A+B but only to empty spaces. Not too convenient.
-Calendar in Message Board no longer shows “Today’s Accomplishment” only days as having messages
-Scrolling messages in the Message Board now uses a different sound

Wii Shop Channel Overhauled (Visual aesthetic is the same, changes made to organization and browsing methods mostly)
-New Welcome screen detailing 4 Recommended Titles and the points they cost (gone is the title screen bar that had linkable games). The title bar can be clicked on to bring up a list of 20 recommended games.
-Titles You’ve Downloaded was moved to the main shop menu
    -New ways to browse
-Popular Titles (2 pages of 10 and includes launch games so not only based on recent info)
    -Newest Additions remains the same
-Search for a title which can use partial names
    -Search by Category
-System shows the different systems and how many titles have been released under each
-Publisher showing different publishers and amount of titles released
-Genre (different genres listed and amount of titles under each)

    Settings
-Warning added pre-system update detailing that technically modified consoles may cease to function upon being updated. Also the only way to not accept an update is to power down the console by holding the button for 4 seconds (the user can’t back out of hitting I Accept w/o powering down)

I can agree with Phubba because I haven't slept yet and it's noonish. I've been playing (I rented it) Strikers all night. The gameplay is amazing. The characters, and boards rule. The controls are for expert gamers and not little kids but yet the game can be enjoyed by all audiences. The on-line players are insanely hard so maybe I still sorta suck? IDK. However I'm surely buying this game this week along with Madden. I predict Strikers will be a top 5 selling Wii game for this next 2 years.

I'll hop in too rillo and also say that it's really, realy addicting. Online helps the game a lot, but even off it it's a ton of fun. I can't wait to get back up to school in a few weeks because I know it'll take over Madden as our go-to game.

On a side note to what you said earlier, Metroid Prime 3 looks amazing as well...

There's a Metroid Prime 3 preview channel that's available today. It has 2 movies now and 2 more on the 13th.
