The surgery finished just before halftime, and I actually had the chance to watch the last minutes of the second quarter on the TV in the doctor's lounge. There was an orthopedic surgeon watching the game in there who was rooting for the Patriots, and I got to watch it with him on their 42" flat screen in HD. He said the Jets were playing well and the Pats were looking flat, and that the Jets had a good chance of getting the upset. He was right. Luckily for me, he had to postpone his case that was to follow, and reschedule it until the patient was more stable. Otherwise, I would have missed the whole game instead of just the first half. I booked out of there, and headed over to my Jets fans friends house to watch and celebrate this inspiring win. So, onto Pittsburgh our team goes for a rematch with the Steelers. Hopefully it won't come down to a missed catch by an open Pittsburgh receiver in the final seconds of the game. I am confident that this Jets team can finally get over the AFC Championship Game hurdle, and get to their second Super Bowl.
