there isn't a team in the league that will think of new england this way! talk about a disaster waiting to happen! no team is going to easily handle both lines of scrimmage
The keys to beating Brady and the Pats is don't give the guy time in the pocket. I remember lots of times in the past when Brady could sit back there and have a donut and a coffee before making the throw with our "play not to lose" defense. As always don't make mistakes against NE; they almost always make you pay for it with points.
two words sums it up brady>sanchez everyone seems to be forgetting we're playing a rookie qb against BB. not a good thing for a rookie. and secondly, they have brady, a rusty brady, but all the same, he was his typical self when it counted. i think BB takes away some of our advantage and spreads us out no huddle and takes away some of our aggressivness, which would have been our main advantage! they are a fineness offense like the colts, but better coached!
I'm actually glad the Pats came back! I'm one of those guys who doesn't think the Pats will loose back to back game and this is key for the Jets. We have to be real careful about penalties against this team. Brady will get the call if we are a split second too late when going after the Quarter back. Our O-line must keep Sanchez protected and not have him flushed out all day. If we learned anything by watching the Bills , Is we can run on New England and keep Brady planted to the bench all day long and pass when we need to. We can win this game convincingly and set the tone for the coming games.
While I agree that Brady doesn't like to be hit, he's always gotten hit a lot. Up until 2008, I thought he was made from robot parts. That NE O-line has always gotten way too much credit, because Brady was able to throw under huge amounts of pressure in very little time. Someone posted an article not long ago from last season about how the Pats were just tempting fate by allowing Brady to take that many hits, and would catch up with them. That article proved prophetic. But I agree, the Jets need to be in hit face and make him suffer as much as possible on Sunday. I can't... freaking... wait.
i respect the pats, but i hate this overall attitude of people almost seeming scared of winning. this is not the fabled pats of 4 years ago. not even 2 years ago. did anyone hear randy moss in his post game press conference. they immediately got on him about playing the Jets. and for once Moss seemed to respect us. and its because when you let someone know you dont give a fuck what theyre capable of cause your going to bring it. thats how you get respect. "i saw the way they handled houston, and that defense looks real good. theyre rallying behind Coach Ryan." they asked him about Ryans "im not here to kiss bellichecks ring" remarks. he replied, "hey you know what, I know he means it. I wouldnt expect anything different from a Ryan. I played with Rob in Oakland and Ive talked to Rex while playing him multiple times. and I even met Buddy. They make no bones about what they mean. They got that defense, and theyve got that rookie QB Sanchez, plus we have to go into New York. This ones gonna be a barn burner for 60 minutes and I cant wait" And if anyone else remembers a few times Brady was asked about the Jets rivalry in the past, and that fuck has a smug look and a laugh everytime he hears our name. its time to fuckin change that.
Houston's Oline is better then the Patsies. If we rushed Schaub all day we certainly will do the same to the Pats. Wes Welker does propose some problems but again with Tom on the move he is nowhere near as dangerous. The only singular play that hurt us was a screen to Slaton I believe. If we keep the pressure up and coming from all angles we should be able to keep the damage to a minimum. I'm not predicting a dominating performance but in no means should we be nervous about getting blown out. Rex will handle BB and hopefully bitch slap at midfield after the game and give him some HD cameras to improve his cheating.
Ftr I am not glad the Pats came back. Anyway, their OL does not appear to be up to where it was before. I used to think they had one of the top OL's in the game, but it is clear that is no longer the case. Pressure up the middle was being applied by the two DT's. Can the Jets do that? If Revis can cover Moss one on one, the Jets might be able to apply enough pressure and still not give too much away on screens. That will be the key on D. I don't think their running game will be a big factor. When the Pats' D is on the field, I am not sure how much we can take out of the Buff game. Unlike Buff we have no deep threats. But, I do think the Pats secondary is not what it used to be. And Seymour leaving is huge. The LB's after Thomas look less impressive. But the Jets cannot allow them to stack the line. Alot of pressure will be on Sanchez for his home opener in NY.
Can someone explain to me the Pat's O-Line? Don't they have basically all the same players as last year and the year before? How can they be so much worse? Is it just an age thing? Is it because they are the same they are now predictable? I just don't get it.
I believe 2007 was either the year or the year after they went fully with the zone blocking scheme. They also spread the offense out to defeat blitzes with bubble screens and straight screens and a lot of short routes, confusing defenses and keeping them out of the backfield. But make no mistake, the Pats' O-line in 2007 was no great shakes. Last season they didn't have Brady and their O-line got exposed for the fraud that it is. This season, they have to protect Brady. I can't wait to see how that O-line fails this year.
Last year they were broken down. I think the Giants really f'd em up. Brady had pressure on him almost every play, in his 9 minutes. Cassel was constantly on the run last year, and was better about getting away from pressure. Buffalo got plenty of pressure too. The Gaints exposed them and th league saw that and now they suck. Look up the hurries/sacks from last year, not good.
We almost kicked Bradys teeth in, we did however make em-pay. This is a sick DEFENSE!SICK!When we got something from the B-More, I new whatever we got was going to change this team mentally and physically. We not only got the Defensive coach from the Ravens to become our head coach, we got some of his players, both from Baltimore and other teams as well. IMPERIOUSE REX!
