Not a huge fan of the Camelot series. It's almost soap opera-ish to me. I didn't mind the finale... it was about time his sister got outed. That skank will sleep with anyone... lol I had bigger hopes for the series based on the pilot episode, and I'm going to hang on and watch a bit longer and see where it goes before giving up on it.

But GoT is in a whole different ballpark in my opinion.

No DVDs are worth the money when you can download 1080p quality versions of any show or movie for free on the internet.

If I were forced to spend money buying DVDs of a show it would probably be Breaking Bad though.

I have yet to see anything downloaded illegally that truly looks like a Blu-Ray, plus it's nice to pay for these things sometimes because it helps the show.

I hate how so many people get pissed when they can't find shit for free that they should be paying for in the first place.

For the first time in a while, I actually agree with you on something.

If I like something enough, I'll support it. A total of forty-ish bucks for some of the best seasons of television ever is not a big deal at all.

I respect that... I'll buy a music CD or movie from time to time if it's something I really support, especially if it wasn't a huge commercial success and I can't for the life of me understand why (aka MacGruber).

If you have the money the right thing to do is pay for it. Buying shows on DVD is absurdly expensive though in general, and I sure as hell don't have the money.

I don't pay for music, so I have a little money left over because of that I guess. Unless I get a iTunes card or something as a gift, I won't pay for music.

If something has great re-watch value, then I'll usually buy it. I have a ton of movies and TV series on DVD.

^ That's an awesome story - especially the part about him fixing up the wound himself.

I believe the show took liberty with that and there were no survivors in the book.

My cousin reads this stuff and has said that the wall does have its weak spots.

That scene did happen in the book...The wolves must have entered south of the wall due to strange tidings across the wall in the north and winter coming.

The guy did make it south of the wall and got his head cut off by ned

I was told that the group that the show had running away from was completely killed. After investigating into it and the Whitewalkers were brought up is when the deserter took off.

I haven't read the books so I have no clue.

Assuming I understand the garbled syntax, no, that is not correct. Or rather, the show did take some liberties, but not in the manner you describe.

In the book, there were three rangers. Ser Waymar Royce (the prissy noble), Will (the younger ranger), and Gared (the old grizzled dude).

In the show - although they didn't give names - by appearance it was Gared and Royce who were killed and it was Will who escaped and deserted, only to be eventually caught... and beheaded.

In the book, it was Gared who escaped... and beheaded.

The deserter was let go on purpose by the Whitewalkers as a calling card. But he was indeed given a close haircut by our now headless hero Ned.

I literally sat and stared at the TV for about 10 minutes at the conclusion of this week's episode, repeatedly saying to myself, "What the fuck. No way. No fucking way."

I thought Ned was going to be around for the long-haul, and was indeed the central character to the series. Up until this point he was definitely the main character in the show, with the most time focused on him, and pretty much every other story revolving around him or his family.

I really have no idea where they are going now, although I have been enjoying Rob Starks' increased role, as well as more emphasis put on Jon Snow and the Wall. I just pray that Tyrion sticks around for a while, as he and Baelish are my favorite characters thus far.
