I think it's worth noting that few of the TEs drafted in the first round over the last 6-7 years have had a lot of success in the NFL. The list includes Eric Ebron, OJ Howard (who I thought was going to be all-world, LOL), David Njoku, Evan Engram, who has probably had the most success of this group. Neither Kittle nor Kelce was drafted in Rd. 1, nor was Gronkowski for that matter. All of which points to the fact that an offensive scheme and a top QB are prerequisites to having a successful TE.

all good points. you can also add hockenson and fant to the list as well. herndon has outperformed all the 1st rounders. with that said pitts is a better TE prospect then any of those guys and plenty of 1st round WRs have been busts as well

Love the Mac Jones selection think he heavily underrated but don't think he will make it to 23 the guys performance in championship bump his stock up through the roof be lucky make it past Washington think several teams will grab him before he makes it to 23. I've been calling to trade back and take Mac Jones. Maybe keep Darnold for 1 more year. Let this kid sit.

it's possible but i'm also not sure if 5 Qbs go in the top 15 this year. tlaw, fields, wilson, all likely go top 10. i could see lance in the 15-20 range which puts jones in the 20-32 range if he makes the 1st round.

Love to see him fall to the Jets at 23 really don't see elite QBs in this draft with exception of Lawrence thing Mac Jones with the Offense Lafleur will stick in Mac Jones would be the guy you add in Pitts who the whole Shanahan offense is based on run heavy TE heavy offense get both these guys it would be a homerun draft for the Jets.
