There's really not too many better indicators of where you stand against someone then when you play them head to head. If the Colt's don't lay down last year, there's not even an argument this off season. But don't ya know, as luck would have it.
If Ted Ginn doesn't have the fluke game of his life, there's not even an argument this off season. See, I can play that game, too.
Listen it doesnt matter. We lost a ton of games we should of won. 2nd Miami game. Not the first you guys earned that game, and completely out coached/played the Jets. The Falcons game, and the first Bills game. How do you run for over 300 yards, and what 6 interceptions? and almost win there too. Cincy doesn't count because we beat them the next week.
There wouldn't be an argument... except for the fact that Henne and the Dolphins went 2-4 in the last 6 games of the season and missed a Wildcard berth. Even if we lose to the Colts, we were closer to the Wildcard than the Dolphins. And the Bengals didn't lay down last week of the season. They didn't lay down the week after either. Neither did the Chargers the week after that. Neither did the Colts through the first three quarters the week after that. When are Dolphins fans going to give up on this whole "fluke" argument? We beat teams we had to beat.
Why don't you try to win a playoff game...sometime THIS decade, since you couldn't do it during the last one.
Someone call Freud the jealous bitches are back. I have never seen a group of more jealous fans than fins Fans. They are like a dog humping Jets fans legs. God what a bunch of losers.......... Nobody on the Jets is talking shit, it is the other way around. It's some fanboi beatwriter that jerks it to Rex Ryan porn.
Actually, if we didn't beat 2 division champs on the road in the playoffs there wouldn't be an argument this offseason. If we went into playoffs and got destroyed by Cincy in round one it would be a different story. But I think the Jets showed in the playoffs how good of a team they were last year.
Sean Smith beat Braylon Edwards? Thats news to me. All I remember about Braylon against the Dolphins was one of the sickest touchdown receptions of the year by anybody. And don't tell me it wasn't a touchdown, because it so obviously was. Regardless of what else happens in the game, as a corner, if you give up a 60 yard TD, you haven't 'won'.
You're right. Tampa Bay was obviously better than New Orleans last year, or at least their equals, since, you know they beat the Saints.
if drew coleman is an inch taller the jets might have gone to the super bowl last year. that statement is just as dumb as you and every other dolphin fans attempt to downplay the jets trip the AFCCG. we can sit around and play the what if game as long as you want but it can never change what actually happened.
The Saints also smoked the Bucc's by 30 a few weeks earlier. The Dolphins have beat the Jets 3 times in a row now. Including going 2-0 against Rex Ryan and his 'vaunted' defenses.
Hey I never said you didn't make the most of your opportunity once it presented itself. It just took a little but of luck (and a league wide rule change) before that 'opportunity' ever presented itself.
i remember when the pats fans would always make fun of us saying our 2 games against them were our superbowl every year. it must be nice to have won the dolphin superbowl 3 times in a row. you guys could be considered a dynasty if anyone else gave a shit.
was that the highlight of your season? Once again congrats beating an injured Favre, Outplaying the Jets in Miami, and a fluke of a win @Jets. See ya next year. (btw not in the playoffs will we see you)
The idea that one team sweeping another in a two-game series "proves" that it is a better team is completely laughable. Two teams that are perfectly equally matched are as likely to have a sweep in a two-game series as have a split, so a sweep provides very little evidence of superiority. It's basic probability.
'Offensive Prowess' in your signature, hahaha, thanks, I needed that. I would give you credit for making a funny, but no doubt you're serious. Yeah, the Dolphins burned us twice, and you earned your right to laugh on that - but that only. The great thing, see, is that the Jets were 4-6, essentially dead - and they still pulled it off. What did you pull off? Yourself? Things align for teams ALL THE TIME, EVERY YEAR, but because they aligned for the Jets, it's different? OK, I'll write that down. It wasn't like the Jets actually PLAYED FOOTBALL after that. I'll write that down, too. We went to the Champ Game, chump, and Peyton Pick Six, much to my glee, blew it in the SB. Way to go, COLTS! With Manning, don't forget that! Sanchez throwing a pick six in a Monday nighter in Miami, yeah, that's the same big spot, alright. Are you a joke?
