You know, I was never in the war room with Herm Edwards, but I could always hear his voice when we would draft a player. "We need the next John Lynch!" Draft McGraw "We need the next Warren Sapp!" Draft Robertson. "We need the next Ray Lewis!" Draft Vilma.
Crabtree released. We could use him as long as it was reasonable..no idea where anderson might be watching the games from.
Not much at TE now since Eiffert resigned with Cincinnati. ASJ left Seattle without a deal so maybe he'll end up back here still. Also still curious how they fill Mo's spot and don't tell me a high draft pick even though that just feels too real...
I saw Crabtree and Maclin were released. I wouldn't mind signing one of them. Kearse as a #2, Enunwa as a #3/slot and Anderson as a HR #4 WR wouldn't be too bad for a young QB.
Normally, with a rebuilding team I wouldn't want to sign a WR that old (29-30), but if the Jets are going to draft a QB high in the 1st round, if either of these guys has any gas left in his tank, it could be a good signing to help him, Bridgewater or McCown.
Why on earth would we even entertain signing Maclin? He hasnt done shit in two years. Crabtree? meh, we do at some point need to play the two WRs Macc drafted last year
Come on dude. We could sign them both, bring McFadden out of retirement and put Josh Allen in blackface and Raiderjoe would be jizzing all over this forum.
With all of the one year deals it looks like the front office is waiting until next year to go all in.
There is a floor but it seems we will spend each nickel and dime carefully. Just because we need to spend money does not mean we will do so with gusto.
