I'v read that he has lost his speed due to two bad knees. He's not fast enough to play corner and too small to play the safety position. Has played a full season only once. Fuck it let's sign him.

Mathieu would be awesome on this team. The Jets sometime use 3 safety sets (Terrence Brooks) and are in a 5 DB set more often than not. The fact that Mathieu could play slot CB and S would allow the team to mask a lot of coverages and do some fun things. Bring in Mathieu and bring back Claiborne. Our secondary would be quite fun this year.
Absolutely...Claiborne and Mathieu and our secondary would be easily the most talented in the league We have the cash....not getting Cousins has allowed us to spend at will
At Safety we have Adams, Maye, Brooks and Miles.......very solid. At CB, I'd like to sign Claiborne back to play the outside. Then we'd have Johnson, Claiborne, Skrine as starters, Roberts, Burris, Xavier Coleman, that bum Robinson from SF, and last years two rookies as depth. As interesting as Mathieu would be, I'm not sure yet if signing him warrants the expense. Claiborne is a more important addition imo. If signing Mathieu in addition to Claiborne then we'd have to cut Skrine, and slot CB is not an every down position.
