Vince Young is not a good quarterback, never will be, and Kendall is not a good center. If we dont get Mangold then we should get Eslinger later, or else pick up a good veteran Center, if Kendall is our center we will have another top 10 pick. Our TEs and Wrs arent great but they will do for now, they are serviceable and we have many more needs.
Stop. We're not going to win with the "oh he's not that good, but we'll get by with him," attitude. That's the reason the Jets were both for so many years. We thought average players that could play (such as Kendall who can play the position but not effectively) but not that well, would lead us somewhere. It obviously doesn't work. Every team is going to have weaknesses, but on a team with this many holes you don't start with a tightend and a runningback in the first round. That would be absolutely pitiful drafting.
addai wont be there in the 3rd rd . theres a high chance he wont make it too the 2nd rd.. his speed and hands make him a weapon. teams like that.from there running backs
I'm not in favor of spending a 1st rd pick on D'Brick, but if Mangold is the BPA, I have no problem getting Mangold at #29. AJ (LT), Pete K (LG), Mangold (C) #29, Brandon M (RG) & Whitworth or Colledge (RT) in Rd3...our O-Line would be fine. Mangini has already stated , Pete K. will be playing LG, we need a center.
you guys why is vince young going to be no good , the guys plays to win he is football smart and will make everyone around him better forget the wonderlic already .
In response... So, you picked Vince Young to scare defenders with his "accurate arm" and ability to pass the ball to a rookie Tight End?
he didnt sound to concern about the position ethier maybe one of the young guys on the roster is the reason why he didnt sem worried.
at least he has an arm and that rookie tight end is better than any tight end we have had in awhile in my opinion .
I am completely for getting D'brick at 4 and mangold at 29. All good offenses are built around offensive lines, the playmakers you want to get dont suceed without a good line, and o-line is our biggest need right now. I like your TE and WR thoiught though, we need a fast reciever and a TE that can catch.
you are again ill post i think we can get quality o-line in the third and fourth rounds while taking playmakers with the first three picks . I guess i see it differently i think we can have a good o-line with three solid playmakers whats wrong with my thinking you guys a making me belive i'm crazy !!!
drafting some Oline is the only logical thought for me since that is our weakest link...even though i would love to have some skilled players ( QB,WR, RB, TE, and then again who doesnt) we cant use our early picks to get them..its not a need as much as the OL
ok everyone agrees kansas city has a good oline roaf 8th pick overall 93 shields 3rd rounder waters rookie free agent bober rookie free agent wiegemann rookie free agent you can't tell me we need to use our picks in the first on oline i don't believe that for a second !!!!
im pretty much done onthis topic.. but waters was undrafted? damn guy is the best guard in the AFC and top 3 in the league.
No way does Kendell play center. Either they draft Mangold or they let Katnick start or they still might sign Trey Teague.
