thats true.. but at that point in the draft it doesnt matter who you draft... its not like its top 4 or something :breakdance:
If im panicking..then why are you trying to go for a one year solution...you think that because you can draft skilled postion playmakers that it will solve the Jets Offensive problems...you can cry all you want to about who we should draft...the reality is that we WONT pick Vince, We WONT pick Leinart and we WONT draft a TE in the first round...so let it go!!
How many of the patriots any-position are first round picks? like 2? 3? They have built their team through good later-round drafting, amazing coaching, and smart free agent signings. Yes, we have problems at: QB-durability with Chad/not knowing whether he can comeback. not knowing if Ramsey can ever be a winning QB.... RB- We have an old, past his prime guy in Curtis Martin. But we also have a young back who showed us glimpses of starter-material at the end of last year, and he can only get better learning from Curtis. TE- Baker, a good blocker and adequate reciever. Jolley was a letdown last year, but then again, not every team can have an Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez. *BUT* Without someone blocking for him, Chad will get injured again this year, or Ramsey may get crushed and never be comfortable in the system. And any runningback we draft will be running into pile and never have a hole to hit, just like Curtis did last year. It all starts up front, and all skill positions suffer from a poor offensive line. So, I think it is of upmost importance to solidify the line befor ewe go out and get potential "playmakers" who wouldnt really be making any plays behind our shit line.
pats line is good lets not get to oline crazy when there is better picks that can be difference makers
see thats just stupid because i wouldnt not pick an OL player in the fist 3 picks for us....but if you had a gun to my head.. 1a) Mario Williams 1b) Bobby Carpenter 2) Leonard Pope
what the hell is the point of that? but, if i have to: #4-mario williams-fills gap left by abe, is a freak of nature -or- aj hawk- would give us two of the fastest/youngest/best linebackers in the league along with vilma #29- if either deangelo williams or maroney falls then id take him, if not, and we took mario at 4 then i would take manny lawson here. just imagine, the best college DE tandem continuing on to the pros. have mario down (since we are planning on the 3-4) and have lawson as an OLB #35- BPA- someone always ends up slipping to the second round....
if DBrick is as good as they say he is...i think its a good choice at #4...we can always address all our other holes later in the draft
OT's Ryan O'Callaghan,Andrew Whitworth,Jeremy Trueblood OG's Taitusi Lutui,Fred Matua,Rob Sims OC's Greg Eslinger,Ryan Cook,Mike Degory
you dont draft a guy in the 1st rd that you can get in the 3rd rd, thats whats wrong. Thats like drafting Brodie Croyle with the 4th overall pick when hes gonna be available later on.
