Chad will not be traded this season. Whether or not Mangini comes to his senses and starts Kellen, we still need a veteran backup. As you can see, veteran backups are at a premium right now, so we cannot afford not to keep him around. His experience will be invaluable in the progression of KC. Chad stays...I'd even go far enough to say that he'll restructure before next season. Of course, the one thing that could change all that is if Chad starts throwing hissy fits. He's given no indication that he would, at least publicly, but his "fire" might overcome his loyalty.
Yeah, we should completely ignore a guys 16 or so years in the league and base it off of one game in which he played not to lose against a 3rd string QB. I guess it is only ok to play not to lose if your name is not Chad Pennington.
Vinny's 43, one week out of retirement.. That they asked him to throw a pass was outstanding, never mind that he made some nice throws down the field and led the team to a win..... If I'm a Carolina fan, I would have been happy with Vinny going in there even if he threw 5 picks, so long as the team won.... When you're forced to bring in a guy off the couch, you can't ask for any more than they got. And if you NEED him to win the game for you, you have ISSUES
I doubt the Jets would trade him. If I were the Jets I would do it for anything more then a 7th rounder. A few teams I would think would be interested in Chad Pennington is Kansas City, Herm would love to have him back. And a few of the teams you guys have already mentioned. What time would the trade deadline be tomorrow? Is there a time like the baseball deadline?
He doesn't call the plays, the coach does. He went 20/33 for 206 yards, 1 td and no picks..what's not to like?
