willie thinks so much of green that he's batting him 8th. but he can't take him out of a terrible matchup down 3 runs late in the game in a must win game. that would've been an inning ending DP if not for the WP. another give up AB here putting conine up.
I hardly see any comparrison between a team that was favored to go the the WS this year, was arguably one boneheaded managerial decision away from the WS last year and was up 7 games with 17 to go, blowing it and a team that hasn't had a winning season in years and merely had a very good first half before running out of steam. sorry, no comparrison there.

True, but just because he made the wrong move in what situation doesn't mean he should make another bad move just so he doesn't controdict himself. Inning over, top of the inning will be due up next inning. That's our best time to strike, in theory, though I remain skeptical.

It wasn't giving up an out at all. Tankersley wasn't pitching well, and Green has been white hot. He could've gotten a hit.

Well it isn't quit do or die time but it's gettin dam close. The last 2 nights are especially hard. Last night scoring 0 runs for Pedro and tonight getting beat by BK Kim. Not exactly playoff caliber baseball.

Actually, I can. Each decision is unique. I can agree or disagree with whichever ones I want. Not enough attention is being payed to the fact that Reyes has fallen apart since the All-Star break.
If it's the Mets and Phillies for the last playoff spot, there's a playoff game. If one team gets the wild card and the other the division, it's the head to head record.
