The Jets have had a terrible O-line for years now but JD seems to get a pass on everything as he got lucky in the 2022 draft
I have been complaining about the Jet's OL for years. After seeing this game, do we really think Rodgers would have been successful this year?
I wonder how many fan bases are bemoaning their OL's on the forums today. I mean, yes, ours is terrible, but... how many OL's are just as terrible? 3? 10?
Why would that matter to anyone here? Do you go to lousy restaurants because there are a lot of them around, or do you go to the good ones?
It was always RG that was the weak spot, Van Rotten, Winters etc now its C,LG and LT, Brown was out for his shoulder could he not do a little cardio training? He looks pitiful and Parsons was taking the piss out of McGovern in the 3rd /4th. No idea what Tomlinson needs to do to get benched he must have photos of Saleh and JD
The CS was so worried about the floor of Tippman in passpro but if the floor is this low with McGovern at center it’s time to play Tippman. Tippman will give you way more in the run game b/c he’s so athletic. Thats the change I would make now and if it blows up again then I start playing tetris and see if becton can get back to LT, AVT to RT and McGovern or Wes at RG

I'm thinking they're going to give it one more week with the offensive line. Dallas is a beast of a team, and I dont that if the Jets have any combination of players that would have helped them last night. It feels like Tomlinson has dead cap money for the next like five years, so I don't know that he's getting benched. If the Patriots dominate the line of scrimmage on Sunday I think we'll see some adjustments. I'd also like to see how the line plays with a different player at QB. Zach just doesn't play fast enough. Look around the league, quick passes are all over the place.
This is the kind of realistic and hopefully (potentially) helpful tweaks I've been wondering about. So you'd just try the center swap and give Duane Brown another week at LT? I was wondering about putting Becton back on the left side because not only is Brown struggling against the fast guys but Becton seems to be making a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes on the other side of the line which I'm assuming is at least partially because he's less comfortable at that position.
Yeah. I don't know how I feel about moving Becton back to LT so quick since the tape has shown he has been our best OL the first two weeks. It isn't even close at the moment. I would do the C swap and then see what happens at both guard spots + Brown at LT.
JD assumed Brown played poorly because of the shoulder last year, when in reality while bum shoulder certainly didn't help, he was just washed up. Being a year older now doesn't really help either.
I'm glad I didn't watch the game. It was Rosh Hashanah. Seems like the Jets should draft o-line, o-line and o-line next year. And they should sign o-line free agents.
