    If we're over .500 this year, I think it's a safe bet Fitz is our starter going into next season. Hopefully, as a mentor for Petty, or another young quarterback we might draft next offseason.

    this is true but I think petty will have a fair shot to start and if things don't work out we know what we have in fitz

    For the sake of your fantasy team and if it leads to a Jet Super Bowl I hope he throws 20 td's over the span of the next 5 games. But Ryan fucking Fitzpatrick being the Jets leader in td's for a season seems funny to me.
    There are so many options but it all depends on how the season plays out. If he keeps this up and stays healthy he'll probably be back.

    Fitz has completely won me over lol. I'm on paper (various social networks) saying so much bad about him over his career smh. Now i feel like a straight up hypocrite because i defend him like he's our franchise QB when other fan bases talk bad about him. Fuck them though, Fitz is a BALLER!

    I think he'll break it at this point. Marshall and Decker are so hot right now that it's hard to imagine our passing game yielding anything less than 5 TDs over the final 3 weeks. Well deserved for Fitz if he does

    He needs what, five more? And the games left are Dallas, New England, and Buffalo?

    Unless he gets super unlucky...this should be easy as hell.

    I think he is smart enough (for a Harvard guy) to realize that he succeeded because he plays well in Chan's system and has Marshall, Decker, Mangold and Ivory. His future is bright with this set of guys and he should ride it as long as he can and finish out his career on a high note. If he bolts to another team like the Browns he starts from scratch and is potentially exposed. He will get paid this year, but it should be an incentive laden contract.

    That goes for all the above mentioned. There are probably 2 more years with this core. Bring up some young weapons and start a youth movement on the line.
