Some unexplained leave of absences? Ask Brook! why he banned me--FOR SIX MONTHS--for a post that did not break any rules whatsoever, nor profanity per se as well. Further, compare that to my profane signature which is a quote from @barfolomew (whom you received a 'like' from) whose posting history is littered with posts more caustic (let alone more bigoted and racist) that anyone here. Source? The thread titled "Immigration" - try to find it; I don't think you will. Because whether it be the double-standard that was employed back in April when I was shut out for HALF A YEAR or the increasingly "I will ban you!" belligerent mien of the powers that be the fact remains: I was 86'd and that thread (i.e. my supposed unacceptable transgression) is suddenly nowhere to be found. My crime: I was calling out Ralebird on his self-absorbed bullshit. I was hardly the caustic prick here back then.
There's like a million articles that cite tons of stories of terrible working conditions for Amazon employees. But RaleBird knows a guy that said it's not that bad so let's roll with the all knowing.
I really like Nick Bellore. Guy has a nose for the ball, always making the tackles or second man on the ball carrier on returns. Rex made a good decision keeping him. Same year Maybin was first with us and did pretty well. Bellore has an interception and two tds that's pretty cool.
Your crime is not letting go. Shame man. I am your biggest fan on this board and you made me ban you twice. Shame on you.
The point is that a discussion that began talking about who should buy the Jets quickly deteriorated into something it never should have. The topic here was about finding a new owner for the New York Jets and the name of Bezos was raised, probably because he's a bazillionaire who has shown interest in buying an NFL team. A lot of people don't like Bezos simply because he is a bazillionaire which in and of itself is not a bad thing in my book; some call it the American dream. There are approximately a million employees at Amazon and there are always going to be problems - some real, some imagined, some created out of whole cloth with ulterior motives but none of that indicate those problems represent a corporate policy. Why repeat the bogus claims and then lash out when they're pointed out as false? The problem here arose when someone threw in "information" about Amazon employees who were forced to wear diapers to work because they were forbidden to take bathroom breaks. Is this true? Of course not, but so many are so quick to take up ideas like this if it fits their itinerary. Think about it - where in the United States would it be legal to deny the most basic of human needs? Yep, I probably stepped in it a bit when I took issue with the claim of such a company policy or widespread practice and showed it was wrong.. I also countered someone who claimed Amazon workers are paid poorly and related a story of someone I knew who delivered there for a while in the midst of the Covid shutdowns who said the pay wasn't bad but the work ethic was - some people just aren't used to working and they complain a lot. The fact is that these pages are full of stories about things we do and what others we know do but if someone wants to make an issue they will, whether they know what they're talking about or not. I was then told that drivers are paid better than warehouse workers who are paid, and treated, as slaves. That's also not true and I first stated, then linked job announcements showing warehouse people on Long Island were paid higher than drivers beginning at $21 an hour, about two dollars more than drivers. Truth, facts, supported by a link but that's still a problem for some. Call me "all knowing" if it makes you feel good, I don't know what you get out of that, it doesn't matter. I know that denying bathroom breaks may happen in some little shops hidden away in our country but common sense tells you that with so many targeting companies like Amazon it wouldn't last for long and Amazon didn't get where they are by having stupid people run it. For stating and supporting facts with links I'm the bad guy? Gimme a break. I really don't want to make this into a bigger thing than it is but, JV, what was so important or on topic about what you wrote here that you felt was necessary to post? You don't seem to have added anything positive to the discussion.
Lol not reading all of that. I read the last paragraph and you did exactly what you questioned me about - added nothing but droning on and making it a bigger thing than it was.
Even with all their weapons healthy, the Packers sure do look like a good fit for Crowder to eat underneath.
Wow Rasul Douglas had a career night. I know some of you were in love with this kid the last 3 years and were begging for us to trade for him when he was on Philly! Looks like you might be right
