thought letting us score was a bad mistake.... Gamblenona a td? Instead of needing just a FG? ALso passing on 3rd and 9... Smfh....
It’s also much different because it would’ve been a FG for the Eagles to win rather than a FG for them to tie. Trying to run the clock would’ve been a very SOJ meltdown.
It was mistake by the Eagles head coach to let the Jets score. The commentators and a lot of fans had it in reverse. If the Jets run three times then Eagles get ball back at 25 yard line down 1, with about 50 seconds to score. They would need 30 yards to get into FG range. The eagles decided to let them score because they didn't want the Jets to run twice, then score a TD with 50 seconds left. But none of it is guaranteed, the TD isn't, the FG isn't, a fumble isn't, a penalty isn't. The right play for the Jets was to punch it in and the Eagles made the mistake of letting them do it for free.
I am probably showing my age here, but there was a reality show called "Parking Wars" which illustrated the nastiness of Philadelphia citizens who would come pretty close to killing someone over a parking ticket. Philly fans like to fight and I am pretty sure security is beefed up in NFL stadiums anytime there are visiting Philly fans. This probably explains why Rocky is based out of Philly (LOL).
Well, hellloooo there! OK, kids, here's where the Jets potentially rip our hearts out and do a tap dance on it. Here's to changing history!
The 2015 Week 16 win over the Patriots was better than this one. Of course the season ended terribly the next week, but still...
Its close. But you are probably are right. The Jets had to win that game. I don't think the Patriots played there best game though either, they had the bye week already sealed up at that point and don't think they went all out. Ashame we lost the following week. I honestly think that team could have made a Super Bowl run that year, they just ran out of gas at the worst possible time.
Gotta love the Breece TD.....Jets win 20-14 just sounds so much better than 15-14. On a side note, Zach Wilson gets to sign his name to our wall of fame...First Jets QB to defeat the Eagles in NY Jets History!
He’s now 2-7 vs the NFC for his career but has a chance to start racking up some wins as we move forward …
Nope there wasn't. It was just the Patriots who we just beat and a Broncos team with Peyton basically a corpse.
